Maybe some of you remember the famous, fantastic manga (and anime) by Go Nagai named "Devilman". And probably also some others of you know that on Oct. 9th it's gonna be released a new version of this anime... but this time with true actors!

It seems that main actors are from FLAME... and opening song is made by Hiro.
Do you think this movie will be a hit? Or a flop?

I'd rephrase to say using live action actors. You're implying VA are not real actors, but in my eyes (or should say ears) they are.
Anyway, it's really hard to say how it will be. The trailers are pretty slick. I'd like to hope it will be good, but you know how trailers edit the good stuff.

Yeah, I know it's hard to tell if a movie it's good from a short trailer!
But for example, what do you think about the cast?

Saw the teaser, WOW! Saw the full trailer, umm? I lost the interest after found out the teens in the movie...I don't mean to discriminate the youths, but seeing the teens playin in the movie, part of a boy band!
It's just difficult take it seriously, credibility lost. If they were not teen boy band and a little more mature by look, it would have been otherwise.
Hiro (ex-speedy) singing the theme song. It's clearly seen the movie is meant for the younger audience or should I say girls-drooling-over-teen-boys.

Top model, Ai Tominaga, is finally makin her modelin-to-actin transition, hehe.

The director, his debut movie. He has had past experience at directing music videos. Devilman director=Kazuaki Kiriya (Hikki's hubby), perhaps?

I wanna see it SOOO badly, and not becuse of FLAME, but it looks cool.....

I'm also so looking forward to see this..and of course the Izaki twins' acting..wow..I think this would be such a cool movie!!

I am like SOOOOOO looking forward to this movie! Both the twins had to stop doing FLAME stuff to concentrate on the movie. And they worked hard for it. It's rather unfair that they be judged because of how they look and that they were members of a teen band. ><;

anyways, i've read exactly 2 bad reviews of the movie and 0 good review. I'm thinking this is gonna be a flop with all those hype and excitement and expectations - people are bound to be disappointed if they raise their bar too high.

But all the previews and teasers of devilman i saw were all good.

i went to see this movie last year while i was in japan. as a kid i watched the cartoon and this film was a big disappointment. they went ott with the coughing up blood routine and the fx were naff. sorry.

the only good thing was that i got a promo dvd which i sold on e-bay!

Agreed, this movie was el sucko.

Ugh, i finally got a chance to see it a couple weeks back. Major dissapointment. So bad that I can't remember too much about what I didn't like. The acting unfortunately was pretty bad. The visual effects alright. CG not bad, but seeing stuff just about as good in video games now. It just overall lacked impact that I had hoped for. So sad. Nagai-san's cameo didn't get him Cutie butt in the face either, bummers.
