They are were Chinese Sub. I believe most of the Malaysia drama exports are with Chinese Sub. At http://www.getvcds.com and http://www.zoommovie.com/, there are some twenty to thirty English Sub VCD titles available.

Am so disappointed they don't sell jap vcds anymore. I so badly want to watch the latest dramas. Noticed that the vcds sold on internet originate from Malaysia. Does anyone know where i could purchase them in JB?? Which shopping centre or shop would have the bestand latest collection?

Maybe City Square too..... I saw a few VCDs shops there and it is very near the causeway immigration.

Do you think these Jdrama vcd internet sites are subject to the same rules set upon these Singapore vcd stores? Will these sites stop selling them after they run out of stock? Or is the pirating violation only for stores LOCATED physically in Singapore?

I believe they will sell it as long as their country allows it. For example, the US site www.yesasia.com only sell all non-pirated VCDs. Therefore, they only have limited selections. Well, other countries might crack down on it in the future and that's why I started buying all the classics a few months ago. My collection consists of close to a hundred dramas and I believe I already have all the best and ones considered good by fans. If they stop now, I can always watch my hundred again. Well, I believe Taiwan has the same problem but fans got the latest, past season's, in stores somehow but at a higher price!

I live in the U.S.A. also and have bought VCD from different sources. I have bought several different dramas on EBAY. There are some people that are obviously selling copies, but most of the ones I have bought are new and still in the shrink wrap. I have bought several dramas from YESASIA (they were all new) also. Ihave bought 7 or 8 dramas from SAKURAMEDIA and again these are brand new and in the shrink wrap. I just bought 2 from ORIENTVISUAL that were still in the shrink wrap. They have a service if you live in the US the shipping is free. All of the ones I have bought have the best clarity and have never been viewed by anyone before but you still can never be 100% sure that the people that originally made them are doing so legally.

I think you can tell!
The authorized one records each episode on one VCD. Therefore, you should get at least 10,11 or 12 VCDs. Another word, no cutting. In addition, each episode starts with Fuji or TBS introductions and warning messages. If you own these, you will notice the difference.
