Pretty much all of Firefox and most other advanced browsers were descended from Opera. =) Tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, snap forward/snap back, etc.
Only in the extensions do things get different, and the overall support of junkier code (a la IE) have Firefox/Gecko really shown its strength.
Tabbed browsing is built into Firefox, but up until the recently released Firefox 1.0RC1, a lot of functionality wasn't present. Now there are a lot more options to be had under the Advanced Options panel. _________________

1. Safer - less suspectible to worms, trojans, and spyware/adware
2. Customizable - don't have enough features? Use extensions to make your browser work the way you want. Don't like the look? Use themes to make it the way you want it to look.
3. Just better - usually runs faster than Internet Explorer, features a strong pop-up blocker, and renders web pages according to standards.
To clean your computer of spyware and adware that have been built up, install and run these tools:

The only problem I'm having with Firefox right now is that I can't seem to sort my bookmarks correctly. My guess is that it's because my bookmarks were imported from an older version of Firefox (0.6, I believe) and that's when the bug appeared.
Also, for those who really like the phpbb editing functions, there's a neat little Firefox extension that allows you to have the same functionality with older versions of phpbb.
It takes away the artificial paint delay, as well as open up maxconnects to receive more connects to the website. _________________

Sort as in alphabetize? I have that same problem too. I can move them around fine but putting them in ABC order doesn't always work

Thanks for the Sort Bookmarks extention. I had it on my previous version of Firefox 0.7, but it never worked when I started using 1.0PR. Now those bookmarks don't annoy me anymore.
Noticed another Firefox-JDorama bug: when I'm using the editor to make a reply, I can't select a string of text and then use one of the buttons (bold, italic, underline, etc.)... All the fool thing does is append that code to the very end of my message...

I thought it was doing the samething with IE. I never use the buttons anymore for this reason. It's faster to type it instead of pressing the button and copy/paste it. _________________

I get that too sometimes, even without downloading anything.
I don't know what's wrong with this PC. It's a fresh install with all the updates and no spywares. Sometimes posts in the middle of a page gets suddently to the far right of my screen and I have to scroll left and right... _________________
