Long Vacation is probably the standard by which all romantic J-Doramas are measured. The acting and the soundtracks are especially good, and people have talked about this dorama for years after it originally aired in Japan. There have been many copycats since it came out, but there is still only one Long Vacation. As "Titanic" was to movies, so Long Vacation is to J-Doramas... Wink

If JTV is doing LV, thatis indeed grea tnews since their encodes are in stereo while Jem's is strictly mono. The problem with JTV though is htat it takes them a long time to do releases compared to Jem's.

Patience is a virtue, jtv have some good releases too but they are bit slow, but that's because they have to do everything, timing, encoding, translation....

I think JTV is actually pretty fast for the shows they give priority to. For example GTO, Beautiful Life, and now MG 2 are being released an episode a week! Just hope that they give priority to the shows you want released.

well, its good that they are finally releasing a good quality version of long vacation. this could be one of the most anticipated dorama releases. i know that i've been longing to see the original love story that influenced so many others after it, or so i've heard. does anyone know when the first episode is going to released?

Whoa COol... have yet to watch Long Vacation though it is kinda like legendary hehe... well i hope they would release Beach Boys too... i wan a clearer version...

Actually, i heard it was Tokyo Love Story that influenced all the others eg Love Generation.

Anyway, it'll be good to get high quality version of LV (I'm assuming the source is a DVD rip). I can hear the theme song already...la la la what a merry go round...

Yeah, I love Long Vacation....it was the first dorama I ever watched (well I actually only caught like one or two episodes because I kept forgetting it was on)....I was like in 6th or 7th grade and back then I didn't even know that it was Japanese all I knew was it had English subs so I can understand it . And I love how JTV is releasing it because all their episides are real good quality and judging from the screen caps it looks like these are DVD quality. Can't wait!!!! Oh yeah, Tokyo Love Story is considered to be the model for all modern dorama (in fact,yes,Love Generation is almost exactly like it in premise and plot)

Yeah, me too! That's my favorite dorama of all time. In fact I e-mailed them yesterday suggesting it for "future project" consideration.....
