Really? I'm still using wet plate glass negatives to produce my photos.

Sony A77 is almost here... jsut a couple more months...

Here's the rumored specs

Since I own an SLT-A33, the EVF is not a disadvantage for me (compared to OVF) as I rather want to see the picture the way the sensor sees it.
Since its WYSIWYG, its easier to use... imo.

Heard abotut that from a friend as well...

You could simulate it with software though - a lot more cheaper approach. hehe
As long as you take photos like point-and-shoot cameras (in dlsr it would be aperture mode with f>20), you'll get mostly photos with dof to infinity.
Then, you can use most graphics software to select which part you want to leave untouched and blur everything else.
