juliana w00t! ,

Great Updates!! Yeah

BTW, you've made additions to drama list starring Nakajima Tomoko.
I believe they are :
Roomshare no Onna
http://jdorama.com/drama.912.htm
and
Tenka
http://jdorama.com/drama.875.htm

Is Nakajima Tomoko who played in these two doramas are the right person ?
Honestly, I don't know too lor. Nut
I can't read or write Japanese alphabet so I don't know which Nakajima Tomoko is playing in those two doramas.
It's just there are two artistes with the same name : Nakajima Tomoko.
And JDorama.com's database made a mix-up between these two ladies on their drama list.

Can you re-check again ?

Addition (Winter 2004 Dramas) :

1. http://jdorama.com/drama.908.htm

TV Station : TV Asahi

Japanese title : Igi Ari, Onna Bengoshi Oka Norie

English title : Objection !

Official site : http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/igiari/

Synopsis (from The Japan Times) :

In "Igiari! (Objection!)" on TV Asahi on Thursday at 8 p.m., Reiko Takashima plays country lawyer Norie Oka, whose 10-year practice on a remote island has never allowed her the opportunity to actually stand before a judge. In this special two-hour premiere episode, Oka goes to Tokyo to attend the funeral of her father, who ran a larger law firm in the capital. While there, she learns that her father was not as successful as she thought. His assistant hands her a bill for the funeral expenses as well as a written demand for back pay. Later, she receives a summons to appear in court for debts that her father incurred.
On her first day in court, Oka receives a legal drubbing from the plaintiff's lawyer as well as from the no-nonsense judge. She realizes how inexperienced she is in the ways of courtroom procedure and embarks on a program to strengthen her legal skills and sense of justice.

2. Title : Rampo R

TV Station : YTV

Official site : http://www.ytv.co.jp/rampo/

Synopsis (from The Japan Times Online) :

Comedian Takeshi Fujii is best known as the effeminate, fake-blonde TV host Matthew Minami on the popular late-night variety show "Matthew's Best Hit TV," which is featured in Sophia Coppola's movie "Lost in Translation." Fujii is doing his first serious leading dramatic role in the new series "Rampo R" (Nippon TV, Monday, 10 p.m.), in which he plays mystery master Edogawa Rampo's detective Kogoro Akechi. Each episode will feature a different Akechi mystery updated to 2004. Many actors have played Akechi, who is often described as being "intelligent and nihilistic," but Fujii, who is playing the grandson of the original Akechi, will try to do something different with the role that doesn't involve changing his hair color. This week, Akechi is visited by a young actress, Fumiko (Miho Kanno), who has received a blackmail letter. In an upcoming production, Fumiko will take the role of a vampire, a part she played two years earlier. At that time, another actress auditioned for the same part, and after she lost out she burned herself to death. Ever since then, whenever the play is produced, someone dies.

Synopsis (from Kaze Kiri FX) :

Ranpo R is dope. It's a mystery drama. Each episode is based on a story from the classic Japanese auther Edogawa Ranpo, who imitated Edgar Allen Poe's name and style. I'm enjoying this drama a lot now. It also has some pretty good special guests in each episode. They had Nakama Yukie once.

This Drama :

http://jdorama.com/drama.881.htm
(Semishigure

In Chorus of Cicadas)

I read in this Database, the telecast time is :

2004-12-29 to 2004-12-30

and the duration are :

7 Episodes

This is a Fall 2004 Drama but it was listed on Winter 2005 Drama List ?
And the telecast time showed that it's only 2 episodes drama,
but the duration showed 7 Episodes ?? Shake Head

Maybe a correction needed ?

_____________________________________________________________

And these dramas :

* http://jdorama.com/drama.610.htm
Nurse no oshigoto 4
Leave it to the Nurses 4

Should add to the database with the info of TV Station : Fuji TV

* http://jdorama.com/drama.871.htm
Fight
t@Cg

Considering its telecast time,
I think this dorama should be listed on Winter 2005 Drama List, ne??

Thx. Victory! Peace!

Actually it's 156 15-min eps. according to the "official english site" (though I'm not sure how official it is - since the English title is a little strange) and also according to the DVD specs which states 2340 minutes.

BTW...thanks for finally adding this drama to the database!! Arigatou Gozaimasu!!

Actually, for dramas starting at the very end of a season like this one, it is listed in the following season only, since most of its episodes will be aired in the following season, right?

I just got done watching this show, and it was far too great to be without a page on this site.

Drama Title:
Ruri no Shima

Drama Title (SJIS):
ڗ̓

Drama Title (English):
Ruri's Island

TV Station:
NTV

Duration:
10 eps

Date Start:
2005-04-16

Date End:
2005-06-18

Viewership:
(someone help me out)

Synopsis:
Ruri no shima is ultimately a story of the healing power of the small island which is the drama's setting (called uCv 'Hatomijima' in the drama, actually uԓv 'Hatomajima') and of the small, supportive community which inhabits it.

Hatomijima has only 49 permanent inhabitants, the average age is 63.5 years, and there is only one child at the opening, who is soon gone. Determined to save the island from becoming entirely deserted, Nakama Yuuzou (played by Ogata Ken) sets out to find a child to adopt and to put into the island's elementary school. Until this point, inhabitants of the island have had to move when their children reach middle school because Hatomijima has no middle school. That is a very poor situation, however Nakama (Ogata) fears that the elementary school may disappear as well, and so he seeks a child to take into his home.

What shall happen to Hatomijima? The answer to that question is certain to involve many episodes of heartfelt moments, brilliant acting and script writing, and marvelous direction.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it is 12 episodes.

If you are referring to the version of this drama as posted at d-addicts, that TV cap version was edited by the broadcast station into 14 episodes. There was a discussion on this topic at d-addicts in the torrent threads for this drama.

I think they are probably referring to the same TV capture. It's the only version I know of that has english subs.

I did a quick search on google.co.jp and found some japanese pages that said 12 episodes, but unfortunately the fujitv site doesn't seem to have information on this drama, but my japanese searching skills are pretty limited.

For instance from this page:
http://www.gctv.ne.jp/~irisan/ds/st90/9707.html

It lists 12 episodes with the first and last being 84 minutes, which fits into how I remember the version posted at d-addicts that was split up.

Yes, I saw them. But here's how I see it. None of them are definitive or authoritative sources. (and as I said, the definitive source fujitv is missing this info, unfortunately). mwduncan appears to be a fansubber/trader. The moderation.dyndns.org page is obviously referring to number of files of a rip, not the number of original broadcast episodes, And the nt2099 site does not list sources for information or give any indication that it's information is authoritative. Anyone who is distributing or referring to the 14 "episode" version will say it it 14 episodes because you get 14 files, but I still maintain that it was broadcast in 12 episodes in Japan.

The reason why I believe the page I cited is more authoritative is that it:
1) is in Japanese,
2) it lists episode titles, and there are only 12, and
3) it appears to list the TV viewership ratings for each episode.
That, plus the fact that I've seen the 14 episode version, and I can easily tell that it was edited (badly) from 12 original broadcast episodes, leads me to the conclusion that it really should be listed as 12 episodes.

But hey, I could be wrong.
