Yep, that's what I heard too! Can't wait for this drama to come out. I also heard that they will be filming it at the end of this month.

its not a rumour. Koyuki is confirmed as the lead actress. it was originally supposed to be Ryoko Hirosue. but her star is waning and koyuki was considered a more suitable match because of her rising popularity thanks to her role in the movie, the last samurai. both female artistes are managed by the same company.

Sweet, even though i am a big fan of Ryoko Hirosue i can't see her pairing up with Kimitaku. Too much of an age difference even from love generation.

there is a news report on their height disparity. kimura is stated being 176cm tall although he's really only 170cm tall. Koyuki is stated as 170cm tall although she is actuallly 162cm tall.

the producer of the drama is now thinking of how to solve this height issue because they have many scenes with each other and it will not look nice on screen if koyuki towers over kimura.

kimura was quite opposed to acting opposite koyuki because of this actually.

I also like Koyuki. And about the height thing. It would be a refreshing change if they don't do anything about it much like the height difference of Matsushima Nanako and Tackey in Majo no Jouken.

Really looking forward to this drama....Hope that Takuya and Koyuki would have great on-screen chemistry together Mr Green

REally? Ryoko Hirosue was the first choice? Hmmm...can't imagine her being paired with Takuya. guess I still think of her as a student in LV....hehehe

Remember, Kimura-kun & Koyuki DID work together before in Beautiful Life. She's Shuji's ex-girlfriend, remember?

Koyuki and Kimutaku. Interesting combination. Think I'd have more problem conjuring images of a Ryoko Hirosue with Kimutaku pairing.

Anyway according to Sanspo, Koyuki plays a character who has a burning ambition to be a nursery caregiver (or caregiver of some sort) but the harshness of reality shatters her ideals and she has to struggle with dealing with the kids each day.

Kimutaku and Koyuki's characters will clash in the beginning but over time they will become mutually attracted to each other.

they both(Takuya & Koyuki) did well in Beautiful Life so i guess they will do the same in this series. I cant imagine Ryoko to be paired with Takuya. By the way, do you guys know any drama that Ryoko and Takuya are the leading casts?

the answer to this is no~ Haha~

But they acted together before as teacher and student in "Long Vacation". Their scenes together wasn't a lot but it was ok. Mr Green

And it seems like the height issue of Kimura is out again? If he's 170cm then Tsuyopon would be taller than him desho? And Tsuyopon's abt 173cm. Sweat

Nevertheless, more stuff on the drama "Engine"...

Harada Yoshio will be acting as Kimura's father in the show and Harada is the head of the childcare home. Both Koyuki and Sakai Masato's roles work there as well. Ueno Juri is a girl staying in the home while Shigeru is F3's manager.

Will update when I get to know more~ hehe

I mean, I do think that Takuya's height would not be 176cm..

but it's not 170..;;

because when I watched this TV show where he was a guest,

he TOWERED over Domoto Tsuyoshi..

He was way taller than him..;;

So if Takuya is 170, it means Tsuyoshi is, like, 160cm..

I don't think Tsuyoshi is that short..

AT least, I hope not..

I am really looking forward to Takuya's new drama, regardless of who the female lead is hehe

And I do believe he is around 176cm! Shingo is tall but I dun remember him towering over Takuya.

And I am sure Tsuyoshi is not 160cm! Nut
