When I get some spare time I'll enter in either dvdprofiler or aficionado.

There's another program called Guzzlefish as well. Smile

I have no interest in seeing this movie. I think Tarantino is overrated. He is also responsible for bringing back John Travolta. We have him to blame for that. Shake Head

The school girl is pretty cool. She was in Battle Royale, no wonder she looked familiar. She is the daughter of Sonny Chiba. Probably that's why she got the role?

Anyways it was a good movie. Just fun to watch.

I love the gore, the old chinese/japanese themes + the anime.
anyone noticed that Uma was wearing the "bruce lee" outfit throught the whole japanese fight?

I really love the way he mixed in the western/southern spanish music/ japenese into the whole thing. Well done and Yes, Lucy did look good in a kimono. Big Grin

Yep. I noticed that, too. An obvious reference to "Game of Death."

Did you also notice Gordon Liu (the bald guy with the mask) from The 36th Chamber of Shaolin?

You're not serious are you? Chiaki and Sonny related???

SPOILERS!!!!!

here's my review: this was one amazing movie...i had my doubts i must admit, white chick doiing kung fu. but shit UMA pulled it off!!! it wasn't that cheap ass Matrix moves or Charlie's Angels zooming, you could actually feel the "he ha hoo ha hoo" from The GREAT Gordon Liu like it was one of the old Shaw Brothers movies, or for those who never watched em Jet Li's HK movies or even the cheap ass HK TVB serials.

Chiaki was really stellar, stabbing guys in the groin must be her calling card by now. Hope she makes it stateside. Lucy kicked ass, being soft and acting like a bitch all at the same time. Vivica A. Fox WOO HOO how'd she hide a shotgun in the cereal?

I loved the Bruce Lee homages, the scene from "Chinese Connection" where Bruce falls to the ground and ends up slapping everyone's ankles with his nun chucks, instead Uma just slices everyone's limbs HA HA HA!! And fuck the music is intense, the soundtrack is a must buy. RZA RZA RAZOR SHARP!!! Incredible samples by the greatest hip hop producer!!

The violence reminded me of Battle Royale really. Cheesy.

10/10

Actually the violence reminded me of Ichi the Killer ( which I've seen over 10 times ). 2 of the yakuza bosses in Kill Bill were also in Ichi the Killer as yakuza bosses. Some of my friends thought this movie was a bit too gory but if you think about it, the violence was so over the top that it transformed it into something that was comical.

Just got back from seeing it...ah what a blood fest. Nice to see Sonny Chiba and Gordon Liu again on the big screen (Gordon does a lot of TV series these days).

Did anyone see the bit after the credits with the upside down and backwards cheesy european movie? Haha that was classic, I'll assume thats a homage to oldie hk cinema theatre.

Loved the cinematography when The Bride vs O-Ren in the snow...awesome stuff Thumbsup

The only thing I have to complain about is having to wait till next year to see the end of this movie!
