For $22 I got Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, House of Frankenstein, and Ghost of Frankenstein all in one box!! w00t!

I really only care about the first three, but geez, Colin Clive, Basil Rathbone, Lionel Atwill, what a bargain!! Dancing

Blame you for my latest watch, shame there were only 3 movies but the special features are so long it's almost like 5 movies. Victory! Peace!

Quite true, at least on this film they both rate an A+. Thumbsup For Plan 9 from Outer Space the extras were certainly better, movie itself was only 78 minutes yet the documentary was 2 hours and much more interesting. mwahaha

LOL, for Plan 9, ejecting the disc back and forth in the player is better than the movie. rofl

Much as I really don't care for Hollywood films, at least the last few decades, Shake Head the older films aren't really too bad. Mr Green Been on an oldies kick of them lately, viewed this for the first time, okay but not as good as I expected or as good as a few of his other efforts. Sweat This is one where the special features were less than stellar, least Plan 9 beats most films in that respect. hehe

Yeah, that's my fave era by far, even the B-films were great back then, those 50 film packs you can pick up for $15 down at BB have so many unknown treasures...plus many stiffs I admit. bleh Too many remakes or sequels these days U Suck which is why I started into Japanese films, but I always have a soft spot for any film with Eastwood or Hackman. w00t!

Dirty Harry is okay, but this is my all-time favorite Clint Eastwood movie:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbolt_and_Lightfoot

"Play Misty for Me" ain't half-bad either. Thumbsup

^ Some of those DVDs can be dogs, quality-wise: they're just VHS transfers to DVD... No restoration whatsoever. bleh

They're almost all dogs quality wise but as long as they're watchable hard to beat 30 cents a movie, Bonk plus they have the most obscure movies most have never heard of with a lot of name actors, back then they could really churn out the movies. Bow

Luckily my standards aren't too high, don't know if B-movies would be as good if they were upgraded, most of them are C-movies if that. Nut
Latest watch from the swinging London era, 1966, British had quite a few good flicks back in the '60's Victory! Peace! but this was directed by the famous French director François Truffaut, this was the only English speaking film he did.

If you haven't already seen it, you might want to check out Blow-Up:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060176/

If for no other reason than a cameo by the Yardbirds with both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. w00t!

I do have that, wanted to watch it but have misplaced it, Bonk grrrr, truly a fantastic film. One I would like to see from that era but haven't yet is The Collector. Mr Green

^ They seem to like pairing Dick Van Dyke with women with three names as well: Sally Ann Howes (above) and Mary Tyler Moore. Mr Green
