Quite true, at least on this film they both rate an A+. For Plan 9 from Outer Space the extras were certainly better, movie itself was only 78 minutes yet the documentary was 2 hours and much more interesting. _________________

LOL, for Plan 9, ejecting the disc back and forth in the player is better than the movie.

Much as I really don't care for Hollywood films, at least the last few decades, the older films aren't really too bad. Been on an oldies kick of them lately, viewed this for the first time, okay but not as good as I expected or as good as a few of his other efforts. This is one where the special features were less than stellar, least Plan 9 beats most films in that respect. _________________

Yeah, that's my fave era by far, even the B-films were great back then, those 50 film packs you can pick up for $15 down at BB have so many unknown treasures...plus many stiffs I admit. Too many remakes or sequels these days which is why I started into Japanese films, but I always have a soft spot for any film with Eastwood or Hackman. _________________

They're almost all dogs quality wise but as long as they're watchable hard to beat 30 cents a movie, plus they have the most obscure movies most have never heard of with a lot of name actors, back then they could really churn out the movies. _________________

Luckily my standards aren't too high, don't know if B-movies would be as good if they were upgraded, most of them are C-movies if that.
Latest watch from the swinging London era, 1966, British had quite a few good flicks back in the '60's but this was directed by the famous French director François Truffaut, this was the only English speaking film he did.

I do have that, wanted to watch it but have misplaced it, grrrr, truly a fantastic film. One I would like to see from that era but haven't yet is The Collector. _________________

He's one of those guys that's so easy to forget about, haven't thought of him in a long time....he's still alive, just turned 85 last Dec. 13th. _________________
