Not just the specials. I think 'afroninja' was referring to the movie starring Yamada Takayuki and Nakatani Miki.

what do you guys think? think they'll actually try to throw in another special somewhere down the line given the somewhat open-ended conclusion of the Deluxe SP?

Alrighty, so I downloaded Densha Otoko F2 special, which is apparently a behind-the-scenes look at the show... tho without subs. I've also downloaded the NG special (with subs), which is a 10 minute interview with the cast. And I downloaded the Densha Otoko SP. Only, it's called "another" SP, so am I missing one? This one is about the back stories of a few of the otaku's, featuring Guitar Otoko.

If I AM missing a special, can someone point it out to me please? Arigato! Smile

also...did you d/l Guitar Otoko special? not sure if there was any subs for the special... Bonk

qilver i have to say i have a different opinion with u, i think the dorama series are just horrible coz it seems like they're only making it longer and longer and longer... and the chat in the forum is so annoying sometimes and takes too much of the series...

the movie, is just... compact? Yeah, and as interesting...

The guitar otaku one has a subtitle... i've seen it. Pretty funn... it was hermes-san's friend ne? and her eyes were like ($)_($)"

She was indeed Yugo the gold-digger, aka Sudo Risa.

I knew this would happen... I saw the movie after I saw the series and didn't like the movie at all!

Okies, mebbe I did a lil' but I was really unsatisfied. I felt it was really rushed and that all relationships weren't convincing. It was really hard to believe the relationship between Densha and his online friends. They seemed so distant and unattached.

I know it's a completely different medium, but I still felt cheated after watching the series.

And I am completely confused a the movie ending. Are they implying it was all a dream? How dissatisfying. The usual Japanese fondness to end movies with a sad or bitter ending. Why leave the viewer in a happy mood when you can totally destroy us. Grumble bleh

Yesh exactly! I totally forgot to vent about that. As if to top off the pile of suckiess.

I can't wait for Nana 2, tho I'm upset that Ichikawa Yui is replacing the original. I loved her as barbie nana!

As long as Ichikawa doesn't throw in the performance she did in Kakasagi, then it can't be all bad. Something along the lines of H2 or Hotman is what i'm hoping to see from her.

back to Densha Otoko...guess is good thing i didn't see the movie version Mr Green

Me too. Although that was mostly because I hated Yamada.
