OK folks, Im am interesting in making just the subs for Long Love Letter available. I have someone translating it now. I am not interested in subtitling myself. I dont have anywhere near enough time.
Anyone want to give some advice as to how or where to go about it it would be appreciated. Wink

Have you decided on hard subs or soft subs? Soft subs might be a little easier if you are doing it all by yourself, as you don't have to re-encode the video, or if people already have the video.

The other big part to subbing other than translation is probably the timing. It's a bit of a chore. You can use software packages (Subtitle Workshop/Sub Station Alpha?) to enter and adjust them. Sometimes you can get other timed soft subs (like Korean) and just replace the text. It's a big time saver.

And there are a bunch of subbers at d-addicts, so if you need help or want to hook up with a group to do spiffy hardsubs with karaoke and the whole shebang you might find collaborators there.

Thanx. I plan to only do softsubs. I know there is a version of Long Love Letter in raw form out there so I wanted to hook it in with that. But Ill contact the peeps at D-addicts, thanx for the reminder. I should have thought of that. Doh!

You might want to connect with the user Phoenix at d-addicts as this person already put out a version of the soft subs for the first episode. (See this thread). Hope that helps.
