Love Generation was a sweet drama and gave Kimura a romantic role and the story had lots of humour. Long Vacation had more bite I think.

I did not particularly care for Long Vacation. KimuTaku just looked so skinny he appeared sickly. BUT Love Generation is one of my all time favorites. I must have watched it 5 times at least. Here the real KimuT shines like a golden light and what's not to like about Takako Matsu... In love What a great pair they make in this drama. I often wonder if they were acting, their romantic moments are so vivid.

When Takuya did 'Long Vacation he was only 24 years old which is considered young I suppose. He was in a nine year relationship when he made 'Love Generation ' three years later, Besides that he had a friendly connection with Matsu's father, and also with her brother. No way they would be in a romantic situation except for the drama. There is no way he would have any serious thought about Takako.

I never could feel that they would be good together in real life. He is much more sophisticated and sharp about life and she was the sheltered protected daughter in a Kabuki family. Her father did not want to lose her then or even later. She finally married a man much older who is in the business but he is not an actor . At least I don't think so. Matsu does very well for herself on stage and dramas and writing songs and recording.

I personally think Takuya married the right type of woman and she suits him very well. They share musical and theatrical things and they both are surfers and generally are more interested in Western things. That's a good marriage for about ten years now. Two daughters.

Hi guys it's been a long time since we've not seen each other. Ang gusto munang sabi sa inyo: masaya at ma-back dito sa forum kasi nasira ang aking laptop till I see if some options make it really go wrong. Na-freeze a LOT of times I used to get sort of mad with it. Now case closed kaya makakapag-usapan! Big Grin

Thanks, man. Victory! Peace! Didn't seem as bad as the previous ones. Sweat

But one passenger bus got blown off the Skyway the other day by a wind gust. Driver was probably overspeeding, too. Shake Head 3 casualties. Sad

Ex-Phillipine president Arroyo arrested

MANILA (Reuters) - Former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was arrested on Friday for electoral fraud, which carries a life sentence, at a Manila hospital, preventing her departure from the country to seek medical treatment.

President Benigno Aquino and his government have long accused Arroyo of corruption during her two terms in office, from 2001-2010, though until Friday, authorities had not formally charged her.

"She is now under our control, under our custody," Senior Superintendent Franklin Bucayu, head of the Southern Police District, told a news briefing outside St Luke's Hospital.

"The arrest warrant has been served. We tried to read her rights but her lawyers waived it because of her conditions. She smiled at us and she was expecting it."

I tried to tell her that running on a platform of providing Dramas 24 hours a day wouldn't work!! "All Kimtaku, All the time" is no way to run a campaign!! Beat You

We all know Japan has had a pretty rough year. Well, it hasn't exactly been lollipops and balloons in the Phillipines either. This article has a couple links for anybody that wants to help: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/newsroom/philippines-flooding--how-to-help.html

7.9 quake strikes off the coast of the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A 7.9-magnitude undersea quake struck off the eastern coast of the Philippines late Friday, triggering tsunami warnings across a wide swath of Asia. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.

A tsunami alert was in effect for the Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Guam, the Northern Marianas and Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.

The quake hit at a depth of 34.9 kilometers (21.7 miles) and was centered 106 kilometers (66 miles) east of Samar Island, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The head of the Philippine seismology agency, Renato Solidum, said his bureau recorded a preliminary magnitude of 7.7. He said that residents living along the coastline of eastern Samar Island were advised to evacuate to high ground in case of the tsunami.

7.2 earthquake shakes Phillippines

CEBU, Philippines (AP) — A 7.2-magnitude earthquake killed at least 32 people across the central Philippines on Tuesday, toppling buildings and historic churches and sending terrified residents into deadly stampedes.

Panic ensued as people spilled out on the street after the quake struck at 8:12 a.m. It was centered about 33 kilometers (20 miles) below the town of Carmen on Bohol Island, where many buildings collapsed, roads cracked up and bridges fell.

Extensive damage also hit densely populated Cebu city, across a narrow strait from Bohol, causing deaths when a building in the port and the roof of a market area collapsed.

The quake set off two stampedes in nearby cities. When it struck, people gathered in a gym in Cebu rushed outside in a panic, crushing five people to death and injuring eight others, said Neil Sanchez, provincial disaster management officer. Eighteen others were injured in a scramble to get out of a shaking office building in another city.

At least 16 people died in Bohol and 15 in Cebu, officials said. Scores were injured.

"We ran out of the building, and outside, we hugged trees because the tremors were so strong," said Vilma Yorong, a provincial government employee in Bohol.

"When the shaking stopped, I ran to the street and there I saw several injured people. Some were saying their church has collapsed," she told The Associated Press by phone.

As fear set in, Yorong and the others ran up a mountain, afraid a tsunami would follow the quake. "Minutes after the earthquake, people were pushing each other to go up the hill," she said.

But the quake was centered inland and did not cause a tsunami.

Offices and schools were closed for a national holiday — the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha — which may have saved lives. The earthquake also was deeper below the surface than the 6.9-magnitude temblor last year in waters near Negros Island, also in the central Philippines, that killed nearly 100 people.

Aledel Cuizon said the quake that caught her in her bedroom sounded like "a huge truck that was approaching and the rumbling sound grew louder as it got closer."

She and her neighbors ran outside, where she saw concrete electric poles "swaying like coconut trees." It lasted 15-20 seconds, she said.

Cebu city's hospitals quickly evacuated patients in the streets, basketball courts and parks.

Cebu province, about 570 kilometers (350 miles) south of Manila, has a population of more than 2.6 million people. Cebu is the second largest city after Manila. Nearby Bohol has 1.2 million people and is popular among foreigners because of its beach and island resorts and the Chocolate Hills.

Many roads and bridges were reported damaged, but historic churches dating from the Spanish colonial period suffered the most. Among them is the country's oldest, the 16th-century Basilica of the Holy Child in Cebu, which lost its bell tower.

Nearly half of a 17th-century limestone church in Loboc town, southwest of Carmen, was reduced to rubble.

President Benigno Aquino III said he would travel to Bohol and Cebu on Wednesday.

Regional military commander Lt. Gen. Roy Deveraturda said that he recalled soldiers from the holiday furlough to respond to the quake. He said it damaged the pier in Tagbilaran, Bohol's provincial capital, and caused some cracks at Cebu's international airport but that navy ships and air force planes could use alternative ports to help out.

Passenger flights resumed later Tuesday after officials checked runways and buildings for damage.
