okay.. after searching and consulting with the forum mod.. I am happy to announce the
1st Annual JDORAMA.com 2005 AWARDS!!

bmwracer has reminded me to post some rules and regulations: here are some (mr. mod, feel free to add)

1. as a general rule, only dramas that were shown in 2005 will be included.
2. nominees/winners will be determined through popular votes. people can only vote once. (yes, no matter how much you LOVE your jdorama stars.. only once..)
3. final set of nominees will be posted on the 20th of December
4. results will be unveiled on January 1st (tentative if votes are still coming in.. we will be watching your uname activity CLOSELY)
5. you must have at least 15 posts in Jdorama for your vote to be counted (c'mon people, this is Jdorama.. there's LOTS of things to talk about)

Now, minna, this will be a tedious pact . But it will be worth it. Let's start a Jdorama tradition!!! Oh yeah, I will be asking help from some of you... Yoroshiku minna-san!!

2) Best Actor in a Jdorama
3) Best Supporting Actor in a Jdorama
4) Best Actress in a Jdorama

9) Most Promising Actress (Newbie award)
10) Most Promising Actor (Newcomer award)

13) Fashion Statement of the Year
14) Funniest scene you almost peed in your pants award

NOMINATIONS will be posted on the thread. VOTES for the actual awards will be PM'd... that would be the best.. I will team up with someone to authenticate the votes (meaning no rigging, I'll give that someone my password to check on the votes personally) since we can make a lot of polls for every forum.. ne?

dude you crack me up.. *does the rock the casbah dance* i think.. i think.. we can count it.. just add the scene where it was played.. then it would be ok.. but official insert songs are like ai otsuka's planetarium (if you want HYD) or Kame's Kizuna (Gokusen 2)

LOL the insert songs for HYD...

but all in all i really like a lot of the drama insert songs... like planetarium and kizuna and konayuki and stuff........ uh oh can i even pick favorites for myself

omg jdorama keeps posting when i didnt even press a button... i think its my keyboard, hopefully this will come out as abunch of edits and not a bunch of double posts

Great idea... but after a quick check it turns out that I've only seen one complete series ("Slow Dance") out of the 69 series listed in the data base for 2005. (I've also seen some of "Anego" some of "Yoshitsune" and some of "Dangerous Sister")

Any chance we could postpone the vote until I've seen all the 2005 shows? Say, January 2033?

nominating.. i want a fair representation of all the dramas.. i don't want to impose my "faves" for nominees.. it's just not fair..

2) Best Actor in a Jdorama - Takizawa Hideaki

3) Best Supporting Actor in a Jdorama - Yamashita Tomohisa as Akira in Nobuta (wasn't sure if he's considered the main actor or supporting).

4) Best Actress in a Jdorama - Nakama Yukie in Gokusen2

5) Best Supporting Actress in a Jdorama - Satou Megumi (Sakurako in Hana yori)

6) Super Best Capuru aka Best Pair in a Jdorama - Shuji to Akira (Kame and P)

7) Catchphrase of the year - "Kon" (what P says in Nobuta with his hand signal)

8) Best JE/actor performance - Yamashita Tomohisa (I thought he did a good job as Akira)

9) Most Promising Actress (Newbie award) - Sawajiri Erika (Aya in Ichi Ritoru no Namida)

10) Most Promising Actor (Newcomer award) - Nakajima Yuto (in Engine and in Nobuta)

11) Best Opening Song - Melody - Realize (Dragonzakura)

12) Best Insert Song - Otsuka Ai - Planetarium (Hana yori)

OK this was harder than I thought. I had more than one nomination for several of the categories but I choose only one. If I could nominate more in each category I would have. To be fair... I have not seen all the dramas this past year. I've seen maybe 12 of them. But I wanted to put in my nominations so.......
