Although I only skipped watched it... my first impression was Gokusen 2.....

But i think as the show progresses... hopefully it'll get better..... ^^ I mean they've got some great cast members....

Koizumi Kotaro...(although he never plays huge huge roles.........)

Hmm...but even Kobayakawa can't make it big. The 1st episode rating was 13.9% and the 2nd episode dropped to 11.8%. A friend of mine who have watched said that the drama isn't her 'cup of coffee', and this comes from someone who loves serious dramas.

I thought gachibaka was too GTO...and every other release school TV Drama:

- Dragon Zakura
- Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru
- GTO / GTO 2
- Gokusen / Gokusen 2
- Joou no Kyoshitsu (female teacher, of course)
- Kinpachi Sensei / 2
- Koukou Kyoushi...
- Boku no Ikiru Michi
- MEDAKA (female teacher, of course--this time the theme is night school)

Typical strong-headed, physically strong male teacher who gets the worst class or rich, spoiled kids who don't know how to socially interact. Every year they make this drama. I know they need something to hit with the teen audience, but you'd think that they'd be more creative than this??

The sexual scenes with him and the student, Yuko (is that right?), were disgusting. Then he said, "I'll do the responsible thing--I'll marry her." WHAT?! This is just ridiculous. But it's nice to see two actors from "Ame to Yume no Ato ni"...

Yeah I agree with most of you that the first episode is rather too cliche with most of school themed jdramas. Therefore, I'm not surprise with the rating of the first ep.

I do hope they'll come out with a little creative plot as the series progress though.

i just watched the chinese sub version from subpig...
wasnt as good as i expected... it really reminds me a lot of GTO (the female student part) and gokusen (the whole thing about the not going to school)... and i dont really understand how eveything resolved itself in the end...
hope the next episodes are better with more tego and massu scenes!

Yeah, kinda disappointed although kind of expecting it.

First episode was not bad. It's too much like Gokusen though, except he's a boxer, so Bokusen

What I like about this series is: The girls are hot. The guys actually look bad (unlike Gokusen) , and... The girls are in short skirts, the slutty girls in short skirts are hot

Just saw the 1st ep of Gachi-Baka! It's pretty good and it's kinna similar to Gokusen . I was just wondering if anyone knows when the hardsubbed version{in english} is coming out (is it already out?). Oh and does anyone know the name of the theme song and who sang it?

Which song are you refering to? The short opening or the ending?
The short opening is Hallelujah by AAA and the ending is Best of Hero by Kuraki Mai.

i've watched the first epi 2 days ago....hmmmmm...yeah it's similar to gokusen indeed, also very similar to GTO(with that girl and the mixed class)...but i gotta say it isn't that bad as i thought coz i've heard alot bad things about this drama...besides tessi and massu are sooo cute and i still haven't seen inoo-chan...so i wanna finish this drama for sure^^

Oh Gachi Baka... I heard about this drama.Anyone knows which episods AZAMA MEW appeared? Shes the sailor jupiter girl on sailor moon live-action lol

omg massu is so cute in gachi baka, i really do love him, but gachi baka isn't doing that well in japan, the first episode got 9.8% and the second episode got 7.6% i really want it to do well. hopefully episode 3 will have higher ratings, and i am gonna start making caps of the series when i get time cause i love them so much, episode 2 was cool, lots of massu and tego scenes, and yeah... i'm gonna stop talking now, lol
