Boy I hope someone takes this one on as a project.

Judging from the initial reactions here and on d-addicts, you may get your wish.

it's discrediting the 4 main casts by saying kimura pulled the ratings (even though i admit he did helped in the beginning, but definitely not throughout)
cause from the same video research report, it says the viewership hit an instantaneous high of 33.9% after 10pm (which is way after kimura's appearance)

i've not watched it either, still getting my copy at a crawling speed ToT

by the way, there're news articles that say Saiyuuki will be aired in Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia... is it true?

So, it looks like I've got another year of Shingo's big head filling up my screen. Even though I thought he was miscast as Isami, he did an o.k. job in Shinsengumi, we'll see how this goes Fingers crossed

I just watched the first episode with chinese subs, kinda better than what i expected........well im a chinese myself, so i was abit skeptical about this drama, in the end me myself laughed hysterically through out the whole episode......mostly of the lame jokes and seeing those japanese actors in weird costumes .....some of the sets and weapon looks kinda 'cheap', reminds me of HK dramas esp the weapon used by itoh atsushi, wat was that???.......maybe they used too much money on CG and sound effect, the ost sounded very nice. A must watch for fukatsu eri fans, because shes bald~!!!!!! mwahaha but still looks very pretty =D

think it as a fantasy drama would be better, but not an adaptation =x looking forward to see the next episodes, whos gonna be the guest star.....hmm....

Certainly there's no need to apologize. Thanks for the info.
Slow Dance took a definite tumble in the ratings from a fabulous initial-show rating of 22.5 down to below 18 after, and they never broke over 18 for the rest of the series. Not meeting Fuji's and the public's high expectations is probably the reason.

I'm still downloading the first episode of Saiyuuki, so I can't yet share a reaction, but that rating is incredible! Epospde 2 of any series tends to suffer in comparison, but if episode 2 can remain above 20, this will probably be the winter's big hit.

that sucks...Slow dance didn't do that well....what is considered bad/good for ratings, so that the drama doesn't fail??

this one seems interesting....not sure if they are expected the weekly ratings to rise to 40%, is that possible? what is the average ratings for a new drama series?

10 eps at 700mb, is about 7gb, plus the first ep at just over 1 gb, total 8 plus gb for the series....ouch on space.

definitely, this one looks interesting, just scanned the first ep, without subs...can't wait till they come out. Bonk
