Because his dad tells him that as a manager, you can't influenced by affection when making decisions. He can't change his mind because Suzuko(HaseKyo) is the chef of Bambina. If Haruki want to be the successor of his father, he has to make up his mind and close the restaurant.

because Suzuko's brother offered the restaurant as a collateral for loan and they couldn't pay off afterward, the bank Fujimori worked closed the restaurant. Suzuko was then learning cooking skills in Italy. She was very sad to hear it and her father passed away before long. then, Fujimori was transferred to Fukuoka. He want Suzuko to go with him, but she didn't cuz she can't forgive him.

Michiru as usual is annoying in Ep8. It looks like she must have Haruki at all costs.
