Me....I hate my Statistics class. Don't like how teacher teaching it, plus I have to go online to learn the section. I ended up dropping the class today. Now I'll have to retake it during summer bleh Along with Econ and some rather easy class that counts as non-lab science class.

3 classes over summer school is definately something that will make half my summer pretty crappy

ooh, u taking econ too? i'm taking microeconomics as my bird course this term Bleah should be a breeze hopefully

"When I look back on all the crap I learned in high school, it's a wonder I can think at all" - Paul Simon Applaud
To say I hated school is like saying George Bush is dumb, it doesn't even begin to cover the situation.

I only graduated in 2004...1 year late Sweat I'm working in my field w/ my BA in psych. But yeesh. Even if I stay in this field I can't advance really without a higher degree. I can't stay in this position all too many years because it pays pretty low in comparison to most new grads, but average for the position with a few minor perks.

But oh man, I gotta think of what I want to go back to school for as well as where and how. I really don't see how I'd have the time and strength to do grad school part time and continue working full time. But, I need to make a living.....no bones about it.

If I stay in this field but get a higher degree, what would I do? Get my master's and be a psychotherapist or school counselor? I heard they get paid assy too. Getting into psychiatry would require I take the MCAT and go to medical school. I would like to do that, but it just doesn't seem like it could work. For one thing, going to med school and working full time seems impossible. Most med students I know completely live on loans and do not work, dedicating all time to school Shocked Plus, I've never been a genius of any kind, so I doubt I could do well on an MCAT let alone med school, and I didn't major in bio or chem in college. Psychiatrists I work with tell me to do it. I'm like, WTF? Sounds impossible.

I don't wanna be a nurse. I don't wanna be a teacher. I don't wanna be a lawyer. I could never be a veterinarian. I don't think I could tolerate business but that seems to be where the money is. I kinda have an interest in real estate though, but there really is no guarantee there w/ salary.

So yeah, I have no idea what I want to do grad work in. But I guess I should take the GRE's @ some point hehe

I'm still in high school...i'm a sophomore. And i can't wait until summer break. This year totally wore me out because I signed up for AP courses...and its so depressing because I doubt I passed the exams. But oh well, just relieved that its all over with.

I'm a high school senior ... next week is my last week of school. I still have work to do, and I'm having a hard time concentrating, but my grades got me out of taking exams (w00tness!). I really don't know how I feel about college, basically I don't wanna leave home because then I'll have to share a room with someone. Sweat

nice thread, id like to talk crap about school for not providing us books for the next quarter and quarter after that and so on, oooh plus art supplies.. its hurting my wallet, i just spent over $500 for this quarter ohh and another $50 for my midterm projects last week, what the friggin is my loan for?!? i gotta ask my financial aid and stuff what this is about Grumble i think i remember one of my teacher said she spent about a $1000 for art supplies in a year, but that was like 20 years ago hahah

for those who're curious what im doing, i study media arts & animations, im also a part time local dj that pays me very well, but heck my money goes to gas+art supplies+food+medical stuff (in case when i get sick) *sigh.. poor me. Shameful Cry

I'm thinking about keeping some of my books because it wouldn't be worth it to sell. I'd only get like 10 bucks back when I paid like 40-50, and I didn't get to read the whole thing. More knowledge to me, eh?

So I agree that the whole book buy-back thing is a rip off. I paid $100 for my Sociology textbook, and I got $16.75 for selling it back. Shameful Cry Oh well. I didn't wanna keep it. What am I supposed to do with a Sociology text book?

One more final on Friday morning. I'm glad I get a break tomorrow so I can study some more. I don't have work tomorrow either, so I can take it easy.

Engineering books are some of the priciest books known on earth. And for some odd reason, there's always a new edition, which means the used books are worth less than crap. That's right. Less than crap. I Shit... a goldmine every day.
