On some of the translations of his weekly radio show Kimura is extremely honest and forthright about life in general. He also answers when people ask pointed questions re kissing and bed scenes in films and dramas. He is quite funny and sometimes very ero. He explained that bed scenes are surrounded by so many people in the crew that there is no atmosphere to get romantic about the actress.
However, he said that he never had leftover 'feelings' after a bed scene except when the actress was Fukatsu Eri. She seemed to stir him up a little, but then once the scene was over he was OK. He is so funny on that show.

Haha I totally agree with you about that, he's one of the best onscreen kissers I've seen...

hey Ireth, hahhaa glad u agree:)

And as for me Love Generation is one of the most natural & real on screen romance drama i've ever seen from Asia. Not even Kimura's most recent drama "Moon lover" was half as good...

curlycurls, I agree, Moon Lovers was a disappointment really, I wish he would act in something like Long Vacation or Love Generation soon. Those were really natural doramas Smile
And Peggy, what he said on his WUS show was so funny, thanks for sharing Smile Haha I wish I could know what he says every week.

Peg, what show was that? the one w/ him as Prime Minister? omg, his curls were ridiculously hilarious.....

I've always wanted to know what type of person he really is.... I've seen him on game shows in the past & he looks like a person who loves to have fun & doesnt mind all the challenges put forward to him. And then u get the "cool" side from him where he doesnt smile or talk much to the paparazzi/media when he was over in HK for the making of 2046.... I generally think he would be a blast to hang around w/...

Ireth, to think that he is close to 40 and can soon be playing roles as a father figure should be quite daunting..... fortunate for him he looks nothing older then 35!

He's lucky that he looks much younger than his age, and since people are marrying later and later nowadays, he can hopefully play the romantic lead for a long time from now Big Grin But he'll be really cute in a father role since he has two daughters himself.

I think that show was Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi, and not Change.

just finished watching "Gift" again. Man, did i miss a big chunk the first time round, it felt like i was watching it for the first time... Now i get why this series caused such a stir in Japan... Although comical in most parts it did take you to the dark side of the world of drugs & paid sex on prime time tv!

My next rerun "hero" followed by the movie.....

I think I'll rewatch Hero too, it's one of my all-time favourite doramas. It's funny and interesting, with excellent acting, and makes you want to watch more episodes. Plus it has the very cool Kuryu-san.

re Takuya's wife Shizuka Kudo.

Saw her last night on NHK TV in a programme that was actually from TVJapan. It must have been an hour long show. I was annoyed to find it right at the end when Shizuka was singing. She did two songs that I heard, but she may have done more.

I was impressed. She looked so elegant and young. She sang difficult melodies which seemed to be her strength always. I like her voice and she is a calm singer. No fancy 'dance' moves.
This seemed to be a new programme and not from the past.

I can see where she would be the woman that Kimura would like for a wife. I think they are well matched.

Woah, this was really random... i actually get to checkout Kimura's english in this clip... which is pretty ok for Japanese... Funny how the language is so hard for them to grasp..never really understood why..

this video made my day! Jon Bon Jovi THE SEXIEST ROCKER ever...... Its so good to see Kimura jamming w/ him, he must hv been over the moon:) JBJ is not tall he's only 5'9" so i guess it makes Kimura around that height too give or take the height of his hair...

That was totally awesome, seeing him with the amazing Bon Jovi. And about Kudo Shizuka, I like her singing voice, and I like her too. I don't see why so many people have to dislike her so much, just because she married Kimura Takuya.

I dont really know her.... As I only hv really selective taste in Japanese pop culture. Its all down to jealousy.... Every single female dreams of having Kimura as their lover, boyfriend or hubby! And to think that he's not available just drives them nuts!

It must be really hard to be married to an idol then. Lots of people going up to you saying "You don't deserve him! He should be with me!".

This happens to all artists around the world.... Theres always this love/hate w/ fans & pop idol... Kimura is very smart in not mentioning his life outside of show biz, whats personal to him he keeps it sealed.... Artist like himself know exactly what sells and thats "sex" by that i mean as a "sex symbol". Women (and im sure some men to) of all ages lust over him and he knows that... By bringing in his family in to his work just doesnt cut it. Jon Bon Jovi does the same thing, his family is out of sight... And he definitely knows he's a "sex symbol" and he sells it when he performs! They are artists and they love their fans as much as the fans love them and if it werent for the fans they would be nowhere today.

Kimura's wife, although still does performances ocassionally I believe plays a more active role as a wife and mother. Pls correct me if I'm wrong... She being an artists herself knows exactly how crazy fans can be. I'm sure she's heard it all and if she's not harrassed I dont think it affects her. So to her, let the fans have Kimura for the couple of hours of his movies/shows/public appearances & concerts because she knows at the end of the day that man goes home back to her n the kids. They are afterall are the same as u and I, they hv a life, work & kids to support.
