the first episode was great. it was better than i thought, and i had pretty high expectations (due to the fact that Erika's playing a diseased character again, and Yamada's crazy-good acting skills). at first i thought this drama would be sort of cliche, but it seems like Kaoru's enduring character, slightly different from Aya in OLT, will overwrite my doubts. *hurray* plus, there's a lot more romance going on haha.
i like the variety of characters and their different personalities, especially the three leads. plot = pretty interesting to me; they threw in a lot of flashbacks. acting = natural, music = cool and jazzy-ish. =] i really hope the rest of the drama will stay this way, or get even better. yay for Taiyou no Uta!

Erika might've been singing, but i think they did some syncing. they probably recorded the audio (guitar + vocal) in the studio first, and then merged it with the video because the strumming of the guitar in the video doesn't exactly match what you hear in the audio; the video's slightly faster.

I wonder how the situation will turn out in the next episode... Im really curious of that ferris wheel scene too! The whole next epi seems so good
