Cool.
Have you introduced Nodame to your classmates?

I'd be reluctant to do so, as I'm sure it might be different from any show they've seen. Not sure how they might take it. Maybe if someone asks. The pieces played and discussed all come from the textbook and accompanying discs, so I'm not surprising anyone that they might ask where I got the information from.
Still, it's awesome to hear a piece and be able to quickly tell the professor what the title is We were listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture in class and I was able to explain what the piece was about. Not using the info from the book, but rather remembering from the first movie the voiceover by Chiaki telling the story as he was conducting. In a way, the series has saved me a little bit of time from reading

Nodame Cantabile should be required viewing for Music Appreciation classes when going over the Classical and Romantic eras.
I still have to do the readings of course since the series doesn't cover everything Classical, but it's nice to know come exam time there will be some questions I'll be able to answer with what I learned while watching.

Too bad Nodame wasn't around when I was in music class... It would've made things a lot more interesting and enjoyable.

I think I missed something. Help please! |
I don't think you missed anything... Other then some of those events are out of sequence.
Tanya Vishnova wasn't Chiaki-senpai's love interest at all.

He did have an interest in Son Rui, but more for her talent and skill... And I guess the same for Nodame, but warmed to her quirkiness...
