Aww... Wish I was in LA. I'd like to get the subtitled Batsu Kare. I watched it raw, and I liked it, but...
Just have to be satisfied with San Francisco's KTSF station.
Currently watching Tokyo Love Story, and I'm finding out where all those dorama cliches came from. (I swear, I'm on episode six and they must have had about 10 scenes of two people embracing while the person who would be most hurt to see the scene watches from a distance. In the words of Charlie Brown, "Arrrrgggh!")

I've finished 8 episodes of "Oatsu no ga Osuki?" (1998) ("You like it Hot?") and I have to admit... they've got me.
The whole extended cast is wonderful, and Shiina Kippei and Tanaka Misato as the nominal lead characters make coming back episode after episode a pure pleasure.
Episode 8 might have been the most fun for me. They decided to do the show LIVE! when it was first broadcast, so at the beginning you get to see the cast sprinting from the set to their dressing rooms, and back. And some even having to go out into the street to do exterior scenes.
And the most fun, at least for me, was watching Shiina, without the constraints of a director being able to hold him down, haming it up to beat the band. It almost looked like he was gonna break into a tap dance during one scene where he lost his place for a moment.
And she probably took grief for it later, but it was funny watching Tanaka Misato cracking up in a couple of scenes, and the director trying to swing the camera around to get her off screen, while she tried to compose herself.
Just...fun.
It took a long time for me to understand why Shiina Kippei is a big deal. I guess because the first thing I saw him in was "Seikei Bijin" and he was an awful stiff in that one. But I've seen him in a few different things now, where he was pretty good. And this show just put the cherry on top.
As for Tanaka Misato... I'm just in love. I've seen her in some other shows, things like Best Partner, and Midnight Rain, and she came off like a glorified extra.
But in this one, she showed that given something to do... she owns the screen. I feel kind of bad that she's moved onto movies. I'd like to see her in some more dramas. _________________
I currently watching "Searching for my polestar" now. It's quite an old show. But i kind of interested who will Kyoichi be with in the end, is it Nanae or Mifuyu? I hope someone could tell me cos i might miss the finale. thanks.

i like Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, it's pretty good. I think Ann Suzuki does a good job acting, and i love her smile, but I would have to say from what i have seen so far of Sekai no Chuushin, Ayase Haruka's acting is really really good, and this drama is reallys something special yet extremely sad and intense.
I am watching three different dramas, Hotman(nice drama, but kinda slow, not much action), Ganbatte Ikimasshoi and now, watching Sekai no Chuushin de(hooked on this one, so great).
