oh, thats right, i almost forgot about japan expo. i went for the past 2 years. had a good time. hopefully they'll show the pachinko machines i love those games.

it's only today and tomorrow...i'm thinking of maybe going tomorrow...today i went to see this japanese documentary which was being shown at a different location not at the Los Angeles Convention Center where the expo is being held.

i love this excerpt from the Japan Expo 06 website: "[DANCE Real-life Geisha] Speaking of real Japan, there was a movie about Geisha called "Sayuri" or "Memoirs of Geisha" last spring from Hollywood which created some controversies about what and how Geisha really is. At Japan Expo 2006, we are going to show you a real "Geisha" we support and is show casing a documentary movie call "Hannari, Geisha-modern" Directed and Produced by Miyuki Sohara." ------------------------------------------------------- In other words you won't see three faker ass geisha that speak Engrish with Chinese accents.....

yeah it was a very insightful documentary......amazing what is required of the women who choose this life......

yeah because there used to be lots of women in Japan with blue eyes

so that's where the kogals got idea from...it harkens back to ancient times as they pay tribute to traditional japanese culture......i'm sure that's exactly how they're portrayed at the Japan Expo.

1) Japanese cultural fact: Japanese women have blue eyes. That's how Scandanavians got blue eyes...by interbreeding with the Nihonjin. Take notes, kids.
