I think that's the only nomination for Last Samurai, there's some big guns this year, stiff competition

Waaa....I hope he'll get the oscar.

I think his strongest competitor will be Tim Robbins in "Mystic River"..that's a hell of good Hollywood movie that I've not seen in a while. Mr Green

I've heard that "Twilight Samurai" also got nominated for Best Foreign Film in the oscar?!

Well, I've not seen Twilight Samurai before but the casts are great such as Hiroyuki Sanada and Rie Miyazawa. I think this movie has also won several international awards too. I better look it up and see it!

Whoot? "Lost in Translation" got nominated for best pic? Hmmm...I know it's a good movie but I've never thought that it got nominated.

For Best Picture, here are the nominees..(as if I'm announcing on the stage..hehehe..)

-Lord of The Rings
-Lost in Translation
-Master and Commander
-Mystic River
-Seabiscuit

Would be gr8, when Koyuki would win an oscar Smile In my opinion she was better than watanabe in "Last Samurai".
And why is Tom Cruise not nominated????? Because he did the worst work in the film. That was soooooo bad.

Watanabe is the man... heheh... i m rooting for him to win the oscars... i m abit bias though coz i really liked the The Last Samurai hehe...

and no offence but i really thought mystic river was crappy... seriously... for me it seemed as if the director tried to make it seem artistic but in the end it failed terribly... the movie had almost no connection between the plots... and somehow i really had this deja vu feeling watching this movie... i felt i have seen the totally same storyline b4 just can't remember where though... so to make a long story short...

Watanabe should win the Oscar ... Mr Green

Mystic River was almost agonizingly somber. A sad story and a sad movie. I thought it was pretty good, but it's a hard movie to watch again and again, just like Saving Private Ryan, another depressing movie.
