My brother just recently found out about the remake. You can imagine the dismayed look on his face after I told him. He looked like he wanted to cry.

But it's true though, American remakes of Asian films are...um....not so great. I agree about "Il Mare." I love the original Korean film and was hoping the American remake would at least be a decent movie. Unfortunately, it was the pits.

i agree with you...
i guess it's hard to produce a better sequel as people have such a high expectation on it ...
