sorry if im not supposed to ask this here. anyway, i've been trying to dl some dramas. it comes in 2 version, the soft sub and the hard sub. i've been wondering what's the difference between the two. can somebody tell me the difference between the two and which version do you think is better to dl?
ok, so it's like this. when you say softsubs, it means the subs are a separate file from the video. meaning, they are not embedded in it. the subs are usually saved as .srt files, and come only in around 20kb or so. this means that it is just a text file. in this case, you'll have to have the raw video file, since the sub will be useless without it.
on the other hand, when you say hardsubbed, it's the video plus the subs. so when you watch, the subs are there automatically, as they haev been encoded into the video itself.
i'm not sure i explained that well. haha. sorry. i hope you get what i mean. _________________

what happened
did they sing or do anything without him
yeah. they released a single, bokura no machi de, dec 7, 2006. it sold 410000+ copies on it's first week, debuted at the top of the oricon charts, and even managed to get into the #13 spot in the oricon ranking for the year 2006, eventhough it was released late. also, the 5nin kat-tun released their second album, cartoon kat-tun II you last april18. it sold more than 200000 copies on it's first week, and also topped the oricon album ranking charts. the dvd of their real face con was also released last apr, and again, it topped the oricon charts for dvd. plus, their new show, cartoon kat-tun started airing last apr4, and their new tour, cartoon kat-tun concert tour, also kicked off last month. not to mention that individual members also had their doramas, radio shows, and hosting gigs. so they were pretty busy even when jin wasn't around. _________________
