It's just a guess on my part... KIKU-TV subs most(?) of the dramas that air in the States, I think.

So i'll copy/past my previous post here:

I was wondering, Japanese people create so much manga's filled with fantasy, paranormal, magic, mythical creatures, but i can't find any drama with real actors of the same kind, does it exist? If it does, do you know of any? Any dramas of this kind worth recommending me to watch? I'd really love to watch a fantasy drama, it's so rare!

Have you seen The Great Yokai War?

I'm looking for some lighthearted comedy / romance... I'm not very picky when it comes to the plot as long as the actors do their part well.
Dramas of that Genre that I really liked are (among others):

Nodame Cantabile
Love Generation
Long Vacation
1 Pound Gospel
Pride
GTO
Kimi Wa Pet

here's a list of all dramas I've seen so far http://yolchen.livejournal.com/tag/die+liebsten+meiner+liebsten
(..just ignore this very subjective rating which is mainly for myself to remember
Sweat )

I just started Muri Na Renai (since it was recommended so often in this thread) but.. sadly, on weekends one drama lasts for only one day....[/url]

I am thinking about asking for a drama for christmas. I mean a legit copy of a drama which is probably around 20,000 yen so I would only be getting one.

these are the top that i have watched and would watch again.
1. Nodame Cantabile
2. Attention Please
3. Bloody Monday

Any ideas/thoughts would be much appreciated.

Uh, shouldn't you be asking this question in the Recommendation thread?

Merging.

P.S. You realize that all legitimate DVDs from Japan have NO English subtitles... That said, I'd recommend Nodame. Mr Green
