Ah. A fanboy capable of detached, objective thought! A rare specimen, indeed... Naughty

Good heavens, no! Sweat jicks is fantastic, and her style is entirely her own. Thumbsup (I think she even mentioned once that she's a J-Do member.) I stumbled across her blog late last year and instantly became a fan. I think we're kind of each other's fans, lol. (Of course, our mutual obsession with KimuTaku has absolutely nothing to do with it... Beaten)

Lol, you really oughtta be reading more (fangirl) blogs, beemer. hehe

Absolutely.

I'm a fanboy, but not a deluded one (like most). Mr Green

As I've mentioned in the past, Juri-chan's been typically better than the material she's been in (Last Friends, Jodan ja Nai!, Sunao, to name a few)... Her talent agency needs to be more selective. Sweat

Jodan ja nai wasn't that bad.

Worth one viewing, for sure... But I wouldn't say it's re-watchable.

Agreed. Any drama with Juri-chan and Eita is worth at least one viewing for that reason alone. Both are top quality performers whose interactions on screen exemplify the best of acting despite how poor or unforgettable the drama itself is.

Yup.

And that's one of my criteria for what makes a drama or movie really good/great: re-watchability. Victory! Peace!

I usually give a drama about 2-3 eps before I drop it. If it's really uninteresting, it'll be dropped during the 1st ep.

It happens. Sweat

I felt the same way about Last Friends: it was almost like an illness you couldn't wait to be rid of.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but does DBSK/Tohoshinki have an insert song in Sunao ni Narenakute? I tried doing a halfassed attempt at googling for the info, but I couldn't find anything.

Everyone has different tastes, Evie... Most people raved about Last Friends, I was really disappointed overall, despite several fine performances.

And don't get me started about that weepfest drama Crying Out Loud...... bleh

i've just finished watching this last sunday~ and to be honest i kinda like it, and this is the first drama i've watched from Juri Ueno and Eita <3 i love them both becoz of this.

but the reason i watch this drama was becoz of Jejung i'm his fan as a singer/dancer. LOL..

i wont say this is one of the best Jdorama's ive watch so far but this one is ahh..how'd i put it into words? watchable. passable. i like this one better than Yamapi's kurosagi which i drop at episode 5. LOL

You really need to watch Nodame: Juri-chan and Eita are in that drama as well. Mr Green

I don't exactly remember how I found out about the series, but having seen that it was Eita and Juri once again meant I would watch it. Although, having been exposed to the insanity that was Last Friends when it was still airing meant having to prepare for the worst.

Gah. Disjointed storyline with underdeveloped plot threads, full of tropes, and then the choice of music (there is a time and place to listen to The Ting Tings, and it's not here)... the only consolation here is that at least it wasn't about rape and abuse.

These stars need better vehicles for their acting; understood that the agencies are still in control of the shows and the stars in them, but it's sad to see good actors making do in these situations.

It's good to be back. Time to sift through the recent recommendations.
