Mieko Sato to release her 1st album

Former SKE48 member Sato Mieko will release her first album "Yakusoku" on October 17th.

The album will feature a total of 9 songs including her digital single "Your Color", which was released on July 1st. The first press edition will enclose a photo with a message from the singer. The jacket cover illustration was done by Furukawa Airi who also graduated from SKE48 around the same time.

To commemorate the album's release, Sato will hold a one man live called "Sato Mieko 2nd One Man Yakusoku Recohatsu LIVE" on October 17th at Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO. Ticket pre-sales will be available through her official fan club "miep's" until August 24th at 6:00 pm.

Nana Mizuki to release her 11th album on 11/11

Mizuki Nana will release her 11th album on November 11th.

This announcement was made on August 15th and 16th during the Nippon Gaishi Hall concerts of her nationwide tour 'NANA MIZUKI LIVE ADVENTURE 2015'. There will be a total of 15 songs on the album, including her already released songs "Kindan no Resistance", "Eden", "Angel Blossom", "Exterminate" and "Glorious Break".

In addition, Mizuki said that she will hold her "zachou kouen," called "Kokuritsu Yoyogi Kyougijyou Daiichi Taiikukan Zachou Kouen Mizuki Nana Ooini Utau 4," on January 24th of next year. In the past, Mizuki's voice actor friends have participated in her "zachou kouen." We can expect a stellar line up for her upcoming "zachou kouen" as well. The first press editions of her upcoming album will include information on this upcoming performance.

Shota Shimizu to release new single in October

Shimizu Shota will release a new single titled "Hanataba no Kawari ni Melody wo" on October 28.

The title track was previously picked up as the theme song for NHK's upcoming drama 'Designer Baby' premiering on September 22. Regarding this song, the singer commented, "It's a love song that I wrote with the thoughts, 'a love song that I can only write now after striving towards music all this time.' I want many people to listen to it."


Besides the title track, the single will include its instrumental version and two other coupling tracks. The title track will be released in Chaku-Uta form on October 7.

Kalafina announce track list for new album and tour dates

Kalafina have announced the track list for their new album "far on the water" that's slated for release on September 16.

"far on the water" is Kalafina's fifth full-length album. The track list will feature a total of 13 songs including previously released tracks such as "One Light", which was the ending theme for anime 'Arslan Senki', and "believe", which was picked up as the ending theme for 'Fate/stay night', as well as brand new numbers.

The album will be available for purchase in 4 different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Complete Production Edition, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a DVD, while Limited Edition B will come with a Blu-ray.

To coincide with this album's release, Kalafina will tour Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan from October and into next year. Finally, the ladies will hold a series of Christmas lives called "Kalafina with Strings" on December 22 in Osaka, then on December 24 and 25 in Tokyo.

Bawdies to release new single in October

THE BAWDIES will release their new single "SUNSHINE" on October 28th.

This comes about a year and four months since the release of their previous single "NICE AND SLOW / COME ON". The title track will be produced by Nagaoka Ryosuke (The Petrolz). It will be a song that incorporates the violin, pedal steel guitar, and a chorus with both male and female vocals. As the coupling tracks, the single will include rock numbers "THE FIGHTER" and "THEY CALL IT WHISKEY BLUES".

Perfume to release new single in October

Perfume have announced that their new single "STAR TRAIN" will be released on October 28.

This year, Perfume celebrate 15 years since their formation. The single's title track will be used in the group's documentary film "WE ARE Perfume -WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT". Besides "STAR TRAIN", the single will include "TOKIMEKI LIGHTS", which was picked up as the theme song for Eisai's 'Chocola BB' CM. In addition to these two songs, the limited edition will contain their popular song "Imitation World", as well as the instrumental version of these three tracks. Furthermore, the DVD will come with "Perfume View", a footage shot by the members during their PV shoots.

In related news, it was announced that "WE ARE Perfume -WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT" will be narrated by Harisenbon's Kondo Haruna.

Straightener to release new single in November

Straightener will release a new single titled "DAY TO DAY" on November 11.

Following "The Place Has No Name" (released in April) and "NO ~Inochi no Ato ni Saita Hana~" (released in July), "DAY TO DAY" is the band's third single of 2015. The single will come with the title track, a coupling number called "FREE ROAD", and the instrumental versions of each song.

Sakanaction to establish a new label

Sakanaction will establish a new record label called 'NF Records' within Victor Entertainment.

This was announced by Yamaguchi Ichiro on September 11th during their live event "NF" at LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo. NF Records will be established as a label that pursues new ways to expressing music by fusing all aspects of culture, such as fashion and art.

The first release under NF Records will be Sakanaction's new single "Shin Takarajima" on September 30th. In addition, the band's upcoming nationwide tour will be titled "SAKANAQUARIUM2015-2016 NF Records launch tour" to commemorate the launch of their label.

Happiness to release their first single in over a year

Happiness will release their new single "Holiday" on October 14.

This comes about a year since the group released their last single "Seek A Light". The title track is a dance tune that has already been picked up as the CM song for UHA Mikakuto's 'e-ma Nodoame'. It was produced by T.Kura who works with artists such as EXILE and Amuro Namie.

As the coupling tracks, the single will include a love song called "Be Mine" and a remake of "Friends" (originally released in 2011). The new version of "Friends" was remixed by DJ WATARAI with newly recorded vocals.

Akiko Wada to release new album in November

Wada Akiko's new album "WADASOUL" will be released on November 18th.

The album will feature Wada's roots of soul music. Besides a cover of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me", it will include a collaboration song with VERBAL (m-flo) called "THE MUSIC feat. VERBAL" as the lead track. It's been about 10 years since the two collaborated for m-flo's song "HEY!" (released in 2005).

On the collaboration, Wada commented, "With VERBAL's participation, THE MUSIC became a song that delivers the delight of music. I believe that it turned out to be a really good song!" The song will be produced by Matt Cab and RYUJA.


After the album's release, Wada will set out on her tour "WADASOUL Tour". Also to commemorate the album's release, she has launched her official Twitter account (@wadasoul2015).

SID's new single to be released in November

SID's first single in a year will be titled "Hyoryu" and it will hit store shelves on November 25th. The band performed the uptempo title track on September 27th at their fan club live "SID Official Fan Club ID-S Limited LIVE ~2015 FINAL~", and its jazzy coupling number "Unmei no Hito" on September 26th during the finale of their women's only tour. Besides these two songs, the single will contain a live track of "ENAMEL" from their men's only tour.


The single will be available for purchase in three different versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a 2016 calendar.

Leo Ieiri to release new DVD/Blu-Ray and hold one man live tour

Ieiri Leo will release a DVD / Blu-ray called "20 ~4th Live Tour~" on November 18.

The DVD / Blu-ray will highlight the final performance of the singer's nationwide tour earlier this year, which was held on July 4 at Shibuya Kokaido. It will be packed with 113-minutes worth of performances as well as MC segments. As the special footage, it will include scenes from the first day of the tour on May 4 at Hibiya Outdoor Music Hall.

In addition, Ieiri will hold a series of one-man lives in February of next year. The concerts, titled "Ieiri Leo LIVE at Zepp 2016 ~two colours~", will feature a performance that portrays the singer's "two colors."

Mr. Children to hold ZEPP tour in November

Mr.Children have announced that they will hold a two-man tour at five Zepp venues in November.

This year, Mr.Children have already held a nationwide arena tour from March to June, then a nationwide dome tour from July to September. And they're not over yet! This time, they will hold a Zepp tour where they will share the stage with another artist.

The upcoming tour is scheduled to kick off on November 9 at Zepp Fukuoka. Then they will travel to Nagoya, Osaka, and Sapporo with a finale in Tokyo.

YUKI's new single "tonight" to be released in November

YUKI's new single "tonight" will be released on November 4th.

"tonight" was written by YUKI as the theme song for the movie 'Grasshopper' (opens November 7). As its coupling tracks, the single will contain "Night & Day" and "fly (ver.dope out)".

On October 4, YUKI kicked off her live tour "YUKI LIVE dance in a circle '15" at Makuhari Messe. She performed a variety of old and new songs. Some of which included "FLY", which is the title track of her latest album, and "tonight". The tour will run until November 18 and 19 at Nippon Budokan.

Ikimonogakari to release double-A side single in November

Ikimonogakari will release their 31st single, titled "Love to Peace! / Yume Dai ~Tooku e~", on November 3.

"Love to Peace!" will be used as the theme song for Mukai Osamu's starring drama "Isan Souzoku", which will begin its broadcast on TV Asahi on October 22. It was written and composed by Mizuno Yoshiki and arranged by Honma Akimitsu.

Meanwhile, "Yume Dai ~Tooku e~" was written and composed by Yamashita Hotaka. It was originally written to be performed at a school festival during their high school days. Although it was already released back when they were indie artists, the song was re-recorded with rearrangements done by Kameda Seiji for this single.

Superfly to release new single with 'Best Of' album

Superfly's new single "Kuroi Shizuku & Coupling Songs: 'Side B'" will be released on December 2.

"Kuroi Shizuku" was previously picked up as the theme song for Fuji TV's upcoming drama "Mutsu ~Mieru Me~", which just started on October 7. As the coupling tracks, the single will include two brand new songs and live audio tracks of "Beautiful" and "On Your Side" from the Tokyo International Forum concert of her nationwide tour "Superfly WHITE TOUR 2015".

"Kuroi Shizuku" is not just a single, but will also come with a coupling best-of album. The second DISC 2, titled "Coupling Songs: 'Side B", will contain all 16 coupling songs released thus far along with a piano version of "Ai wo Komete Hanataba wo".

JUJU announces new single, album and tour

JUJU's new single "What You Want" will be in stores on November 18.

"What You Want" was picked up as the theme song for NTV's drama "Gisou no Fuufu", which recently premiered on October 7. Besides this song, the single will include covers of France Gall's "Poup&eacute;e de cire, poup&eacute;e de son" and Nakamori Akina's "Kazari Janai yo Namida wa".

The single will be released in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition DVD will contain a digest movie of JUJU's live concert that was held last year at Blue Note Tokyo.

In addition, it was announced that JUJU will release her 6th album on December 9. Also, she will hold a nationwide tour called "JUJU HALL TOUR 2016" from April to July of next year. Ticket pre-reservations will be available for member of her official fan club site "JUJU FAM".

FLOW to release their 10th album and tour in February

FLOW has announced that they will release their 10th album "#10" on February 3 of next year.

While details on the upcoming album will be revealed later, the band has already set an album release event at the end of the year. Titled "FLOW THE CARNIVAL 2015 Daikanshasai ~Nagaku Yaruyo!!! Shoji Saita Kyokusuu LIVE~", the one-man live will be held on December 5 at Zepp DiverCity TOKYO. The band will perform a selection of songs from the album's they've released thus far, as well as new songs of off their upcoming album. Those who pre-order the album at at this venue will receive a FLOW 2016 calendar.

In addition, FLOW will kick off their nationwide tour "FLOW LIVE TOUR 2016: #10" in February. The first show of the tour on February 14 at HEAVEN'S ROCK Saitama Shintoshin VJ-3 will be a men's only live, and their concert on March 13 at KYOTO MUSE will be a women's only live.
