Not allowed to post....spam detected

Just spent quite some time writing my first post and I'm not allowed to share it as "spam detected". There was no spam in the post.

It might have to do with this being your first post and/or something in your post triggered the spam alert...

The first few posts for each user would have tighter spam restrictions. This has been in place to curb the numerous spam bots that have been plaguing the forums.

Unfortunately a tighter check means that authentic posts may be flagged as well. In such cases, you could send your post to me to check so that the spam checks can be tweaked.

When you add a drama now you have to make a comment, at least two words long, or else it's detected as spam.

Genma-san, I have this problem too - I'm trying to do a simple "I second the motion" post on the "New drama suggestions" thread, and it says "spam" when there is nothing even resembling spam in the message. I'm just saying "I second the motion; please add this drama; here's where I saw it and here's what I like and dislike about it." There are no URLs in it, nothing that could be mistaken for spam.

Even when I attempted to send you a copy via PM, it flagged that message as "spam" too - so I'm unable even to tell you what I wrote. Do you have an external email address where we can contact you outside of the Jdorama website?

Also I'm still not being allowed to post reviews - the site gives me the error message "Drama review could not be submitted" with no other information. I've tried on multiple browsers with no success. As a workaround I've just been posting the reviews to the Comments field, which is still working.

If you want to check my reviews to troubleshoot the "could not be submitted" problem, the ones I've successfully entered as "Comments" (as Sakebitosan) for these dramas are exact copies of the reviews that I submitted but would not go through:

- Okusama wa, Toriatsukai Chuui
- Kiina ~ Fukano Hanzai Sosakan
- Jimi ni Sugoi! ~ Kouetsu Girl Kouno Etsuko
- Ima kara Anata o Kyohaku Shimasu
- Sumika Sumire ~ 45-sai Wakagaetta Onna
- Rinshou Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo no Suiri
- Age Harassment
- Itsuka, Nemuri ni Tsuku Hi
- Peanut Butter Sandwich

So for some reason the "Comments" function is working, but not the "Reviews" function. Another problem I've noticed is that all of my (previous) reviews are gone from my "My Dramas" page. It only lists the dramas and the Comments. There used to be a whole separate Reviews section below the Drama List, but it's completely gone now - though it's still there if I log out and click my nickname to navigate to my profile.

Sorry guys, the spam filter that I implemented was based on a number of patterns which appeared historically in the forum.

I think I will keep records of all flagged content so that I can review them occasionally and fine-tune the filter.
