can you guys help show me what my friend's name in kanji is? her name is Anisha, she's from India. i check the takase website already and it doesnt have her name, it has anissa which is close but not it. so anyone want to help me?

Foreign names are usually written in katakana, and not kanji. The katakana name would be: AjV (a-ni-sya).

You do realize that those aren't their real names in Japanese, don't you? That online thing is simply a Javascript-type thing that looks at, say, the number of letters in your name and generates a random last and first name.

Oh, and please refrain from using the abbreviation "jap" for Japanese; it's offensive to some people.
Use JP or J or just spell out Japanese, if you can.

i feel questions like this should be aimed at chinese people as they will use nice kanji to spell names. in japan katakana is used for foreign words and names. just an opinion. Mr Green

more times than not, even chinese names that is in fact kanji, is still katakan-ized in Japan. My Chinese name is N(Kwan). I JP, however, I always have my names in whatever forms I'm filling out, it is NB

that's an interesting point. i guess a chinese name in kanji when read out in japan won't be the same.
