I agree with Ralph. Why is everyone jumping on a soapbox to explain to him what he already knows? Do you guys think you are the only smart people in the world? Wynter, I know you're a teacher, but ...

Anime Dad!

I'm so glad you liked Churasan...Ralph must be soooo happy...Churasan is his internal spiritual home, and he wants to share his joy in Eri et. al.

He and I disagreed about it a little ...

You know I rarely get involved in all the hubbub on this forum, because it's like a little clique that doesn't really want to let anyone in who doesn't follow the party line, but my husband and I are ...

Geezer! Of course for you the word "eccentric" was a compliment! You know, I was talking about Norika in Star No Koi. That was her defining role, and I do think she was special and fabulo ...

Ralph...maybe there are some eccentrics who don't cave in to Norika's infinite perfections, but the many people to whom I gave a copy of Star No Koi were full of praise both for her acting and her bea ...

New York is not a good place to live if you want to see doramas broadcast on TV, but at least I do get to go to the U.S. Open and see the tennis.

I just wanted to weigh in on the Takuya Kimura di ...

Ralph--your parade clip was great. It made me feel as if I were there, and since I've never been to Southern California, that was a pretty good feat. At the Sakura Matsuri in the Brooklyn Botanic Ga ...

I forgot to say one thing about supporting characters, after reading the mini-treatise posted by Ralph.

I always thought it was obvious that because the dorama format is usually 10, 11, or 12 episo ...

I am baffled by so much hostility being directed at Kyoko Fukada. As a non-Japanese non-male, I find her very sweet and delightful. It's not everyone who can act the innocent ingenue without a drop ...
