I just watched the first episode, and I gotta say, this is a really great and hilarious show. What do you people think, for those that have seen the original series, is this better or worse than the first season, just judging from the episodes already aired? And how is this series in comparison to the first one? What similarities and differences are there? And is the storyline basically the same?

- Episode FOhhh! Get it while it's h0t!
http://download.theppn.org/downloadtorrent.php?id=13550&name=waterboys2_04.avi.torrent

- Kakashi:
Ya it's a cool series, my favorite in fact :)
In terms of comparing the first series, I like some elements from the
first more, but I'm enjoying the second series way more-- the story
and other aspects so far are executed much better.
And the Ookami Shonen's (Senichi) hair is tha bomb :D
I'd have to say the story structure is very similar from the first, but
there is still more than enough new plot elements to warrant a sequel;
and if you liked the first you'll definitely like this one.
I recommend you watch the first season , and the film if you have the
time.

- To recap the series' ratings:
EP1: 20.6%, EP2: 17.9%, EP3: 17.8% & EP4: 14.1%
:. Still the highest rating drama this season!

I'm out.

This gives it a fresh start and some originality. New school, new environment, and new characters. I think this is the reason why 5 waterboys in a row could theoretically work. But of course you have to have one of the original members as a supporting role. They made the franchise after all.

sorry this caught my eye, are you talking about the character Senichi played by Saitou Keita or something else I have no idea of..because I find that hair very "slick" and not a total good way, I like Keita'a hair when it's down normal.... Sweat

On another note, seeing this Waterboys, I could never picture Yamada Takayuki playing such a role....

I agree with you on the hair part...I think it looks kind of weird like that...no offense to anyone that likes it like that!

Well even without subs, it's still funny to watch, seeing them make fools of themselves....lol....and now I'm picturing Hayato-san as some goof... Sweat

It kind of hit me that the character Sano Hideki (played my Kimura Ryo) is a first year and already has SO MANY people in his group...

I can't believe though that Kimura Ryo is the same age as me, but he's a grade younger, atleast I think so...he's cute but some point something seems mysterious about him, can't quite put my finger on it. nor explain it...seeing the interview/trailer of the Waterboys characters/actors makes me think a bit of how they felt doing this....plus it was funny seeing them do the dance seen for the TV crew...

Hideki..that's the guy with the rich father, right? he's quite fun Smile
and his group only is with him because he's rich, as soon as his father isn't the richest anymore the guys leave and join another guy Smile

I feel that Waterboys is an introductory to the NEW guys of Japan (like new idols to become noticed), like Waterboys the movie had the guy from Orange Days, and the first dorama series had Yamada Takayuki, and now this one has Teppei, Saitou, Ichihara...and more...
