To not make the Super Bowl until the Giants win it. =)

Or the curse of Dan Snyder...

Yea seriously. Everytime I see Collins play and make mistakes, I always think to myself, Gannon would have never made that mistake. Goes to show how great of a player Gannon is. I really hope the Raiders give Gannon another shot next year. *sigh*

Btw, I think I lost this week Sweat

Yeah, Oakland got torched by Manning and his boys...though Kerry Collins threw for more yards...that's surprising...

Glad the NYG finally got rid of Collins...he's a good ball thrower, but he just isn't there mentally...

He won't be back for a while: they showed a pic of him in his neckbrace... Looks uncomfortable and serious...

I've had this belief for quite a while now that as a fan, sports has a lot of Yin and Yang (meaning that you're always going to have some bad results to go with your good results - or vice versa). Not necessarily with the same team or sport...but across sports and teams...everything balances out.

Elton,

Did you read this morning that it looks like Gannon will have to hang it up?

Bummer. I always liked that guy. When he was younger he reminded me a lot of Steve Young... but without the press. I thought he and "Chucky" were a great pair.

Collins? I learned to hate the guy when he started with Carolina and put a whoopin' on the Niners when he was just a rookie. So it never bothered me that he turned into nothing but a big arm with no brain attached.

The Pats. THE PATS!!! 19 in a row! Jeez!

Back to my Niners. Man, don't you just love reading the comments from Kevan "Soon to be New Dead Money" Barlow about how bad the game was against the Cards, because his rushing average went down?

That wouldn't surprise me, seeing him in that neck brace... Why risk total paralysis or maybe even death?

For the same reason Young kept trying to come back, even after his skull started turning into oatmeal.

For the same reason Montana came back to start just weeks after back surgery.

For the same reason Namath kept trying to come back, even after his knees had become broken glass.

The game isn't just what they do. It's who they are.

Oh I understand totally. But to quote Dirty Harry, "A man's gotta know his limitations..."

I'd rather they draft Arrington.

Heck, I'd rather they draft the Cal offensive line, and the USC Defensive line.
