I've got a question...what would you all say if an African-American person registered here who absolutely LOVES the Japanese culture?? Would you think they were weird? Or would you think they were betraying their own race of people??

You're not the first, and hopefully not the last... No weirdness, no betrayal, nothing wrong with being enamored with another culture... Diversity is educational and cool... Thumbsup

thanx Mr Green

It's just that people I know think that it's odd that I'm in love with the Japanese culture, but I really don't care much about what they think. Soon I'll be living in Tokyo and they'll envy me!

Only as weird as a white guy whose interested in Japanese feminist history, so I'd have to say nope.

I don't think you can betray a "race"...culture doesn't have anything to do with that anyway.

Welcome!

in fact with these 2 No's they were also talking of a snowball effect for the rest of the countries who have to vote still.

AHAHAHA, I paid $0 Bleah

Got Press Pass! It's awesome! I had the power to cut in front of everyone for music events and stuff. Although I think next year I'll probably play a more active role in the Asian drama stuff so I should be able to get some more free passes.

Kumiko Kato was one. No one really big, just some new artist trying to make a name. I'm guessing anime expo would get the bigger names.

You mean 12 today? It ends on Monday so yea they might have been closing it down a little. Usually the people are all inside but there was a bunch of people on Saturday and I would assume Sunday as well. I didn't go Sunday so I don't know. I did go back today at like 3 to try to get some good deals from the vendors but the dealer room was closed and the dealers were packing up. However, I did get in anyways with my press badge and said I was here to help a booth clean up hehe hehe I ended up getting the Gokusen anime box set and 2 Gokusen jackets for $40! w00t!
