have finally watched ep 5.......hmmm....like all of ya, I felt Mariko is actually a nice girl and god, I hate that bird's crowing which sounds like a mad woman's laughter....

and I love the part where Akira took Nobuta's hand to his face and said it's not dirty at all....awww....how sweet...I also like that part where it's Nobuta's voiceover saying she's alwasy receiving balls from the both of them and one day she wants to give something back...right now I really like the relationship between the 3 of them..they all care so much about each other...whether it's love or friendship

and jcrina I love Kame, Pi & Ryo equally...hahah....just that scenes of Ryo running in the rain are too hot to resist....

Ah I love this show! I was sorta afraid of Kame in Gokusen, but he looks so hot and friendly here! Nevermind the clean eyebrows. I want to see him act more in future dramas!

ahhh??? i love him in Gokusen 2. haha think he's the coolest in there and he doesn't look that skinny in Gokusen compared to Nobuta.

yeah. Kame fits he role for nobuta well. but it seems like pple are always comparing kame and yamapi. i have friends who watched the show and tell me that kame sucks. wth. and they find yamapi cute. poor kame. justice is not done to him!

Ahhh, yes, most of the poeple I know think so too but...it`s just the character I think...Akira is just soo cute and understans Nobuko and he`s funny..that mix makes it!!! every girl want such a guy, don`t you??? Just destiny...and Shuji`s role hasn`t anything to do with Kame...so I like him, but I just think his character is a bit self-centred...that`s all..and I hope for him that his character becomes more nice and friendly!!!

why are they comparing Yamapi & Kame....they are two different people what...just like Jin or Kame...when they say Kame sucks, I think they mean his character right....I think Kame's character is difficult to please....after all Shuji is self-centred and cynical and like u all said, Kame did a great job.....I don't dislike Shuji at all, I simply feel he has the potential to be better...after all he's changing....

i really like the dorama so much.. and i dun know what will happen next.. and tempting me to buy the book and I finally bought the book as well as their single... FINALLY!! haha but i will not start reading once i finished my exam...

From my personal view, i really like Yamapi as Akira's character but it also doesnt mean that i dun like kame as shuji, both act very well but i think everyone like Akira's character as he was such a caring guy and always think for nobuta.. and this is my first time watched Yamapi acting such character.. i think he did a great job... kame did well too

I don't really dislike Kame per se. People will hate me when I say this, but in KATTUN, his personality just shines through. Inasmuch as I love Bakanishi.. Kame's personality wins me over. :-)

littlemissfab...I'm the same as u....my favourite in KAT-TUN is Kame.....he always tries his best at everything he does...which is why I like him so much...does anyone feel he's getting really skinny? His uniform is so baggy on him....

and i think its unfair for pple to not like kame cause of his role as shuji. actually in the show shuji's character isnt tt bad, he's learning and changing.. ( which makes him so endearing to me. =P).. haha. but i guess akira's character appeals the most to pple..

in the english soft sub it trans to , 'it wasnt from the heart enough?' so its quite ambigious...so she can either be my heart or his heart...which wasnt a good reaction... i guess she probs meant it from her heart, but i still think the character its starting to notice how uninterested shuji is...and his attention is to someone else but mainly himself...hahahhaa...

So most ppl favour Akira!! So doesnt that mean Kame and Pi are doing a good job? The character Shuji is believable and quite unlike-able cause you see his shallow side... but because the audience is seeing how he is reflecting his thoughts...doesnt that make you warm towards him...cause with the main characters i have like and dislikes about them...isnt that better than just liking them?

kame and pi...well ppl should mix them with their characters shuji and akira... well personally i have started to like Pi much more because of his role as Akira and reading more info about him...(pi is so random at times...but i have to say he has a great pout....)And Kame...well i'm a KAT-TUN fan, esp a Akame fan...so i like Kame as a JE talent...altho at time i wish he would shut up...that boy talks too much and camera hogs hahahaha...but apart from that i love his energy and his cute childish side that he tries to hide...hahaha...

Why must ppl associate liking with Romantic liking? Why cant it be a special connection between two ppl, where they understand each other... I hope this doesnt turn mushy... But i say the comedy value of akira liking nobuta is rather funny...but i guess i just dont want either one to end up with her...i rather like to see the friendship bond they've created...that just my opinion...

Akira is easy to like, because he's a funny, nice and caring guy. Still I think Nobuta has a crush on Shuji, and only thinks of Akira as a friend. But she may dislike Shuji's personality sometimes, sort of get disappointed with him. Shuji also cares a lot about Nobuta, but love or just friendship...? hard to say.

Am I the only one that think it'd nice if Nobuta and Shuji end up together? I like Akira too, but there's more chemistry between Shuji and Nobuta.

hmm somehow i feel that shuiji will end up with nobuta cos nobuta seems to like him in episode 5. but after what TODA (the girl who acted as mariko) said in the article, i think shuiji might most probably end up with mariko too. She was totally selfless in episode 5 and shuiji looked stunned after she said the phrase to him at the basketball court.

[spoiler]although mariko is popular in school, but she's different from him, she isn't that shallow. so i think shuiji might end up falling for mariko. and akira will end up with nobuta?[spoiler]

gosh i started watching this series cos of kame. I liked him in Gokusen.. yah and i totally love the way he handles things. his seriousness.. just so attractive. am i the only one who thinks he's sexy?

i went to kinokuniya today in search for the book. haha the sales assistant couldn't get the chinese title.. and he kept asking me to repeat it.
apparently it got sold out cos they only imported like 3 books 3 days ago... he told me to try the takashimaya branch...

Looks like a lot of us had bought the novel but had no time to read it.. me too.. had bought it but still not time to read it.. haizz...the book is really quite cheap for a Japanese translated book. Usually will cost near to $20 for such books.

The author of the novel is actually very very young. He is born in 1983 and wrote the book when he is 21 and he is now still schooling. BTW I don't the author is a guy or a girl..

Arrgh... the book is in traditional chinese? Ok that's the end of me reading it. I cannot read even simple chinese to save my life, let alone traditional chinese. If there is no English version, I might as well go read the Japanese version.

I rewatched episode 5 and I am liking akira more, who is more straightforward and predictable, but I can't help feeling sorry for Shuji, who is trying so hard to be a popular guy in school. He's gonna burn out -onee day, if he continues like that.
