Will someone please put HYD 9 into Megaupload? The D-Addicts Bittorrent says it will take 5 days to download! I will not survive the wait!
This was a lot of fun to watch this with everyone. This was the first time I have ever watched a Japanese drama at the same time as everyone else. (All the others had already been released, like Gokusen, which I watched a couple of months ago hour after hour non-stop!)

i have 2 days plus, left for d/l on bittorent....i thought mine was slow...
I won't say I particular objective to the ending of Ep.9. I wish Dom and Makino scenes could be longer. WHY?????? Did she even say I love you to Dom? I think she did admitted right? The necklace scene is ok, but I expected it was combined with the saturn scene as well. The KISSS???? URGH!!! Horrible, why every Japanese drama I seen has that sunset on the background. Totally ruined the scene for me!!
Anyway, I am 100% sure that they will the SPECIAL to HYD SOOONNN!!! Not sure about 2nd Season through!! I think the ending really followed the MANGA closely!!

I calculated the times already throughout entire ep. where Dom and Makino are together with only 2 of them and they only got close to 5 minutes being alone with each other!!!! WTF!! I'm so mad, a hour of the ending and we ONLY got 5 minutes of them together!!!???? Remember what you guys said earlier on how Makino is going to prove that she loves Dom to his mom. We didn't even get any of that in here!!!
just finished watching episode 9... i think im getting better at japanese now.. i can actually pick up some stuff lol....

first i wanted to say I REALLY THINK THERE IS A 2ND SEASON. considering at the end when tsukushi is walking... its like "see you soon!!" ahhh if there is~ omg my christmas came true!!!!
i think this episode was pretty good~ im happy with the ending. although like everyone else i agree that tsukasa and tsukushi FOR SURE didn't get enough time alone together. BUT even if the whole hour is on them i still wouldn't think it is enough!! ... & bout the kiss... ugh it was alrite but i really wanted tsukasa to kiss makino like jun does in kimi wa petto & tokyo tower.. cuz his kissing is just so hot... but then i guess mao is still young... i bet it was one of those chin kiss... but good enough for me
the TOJ part was quite entertaining for me. i loved it. it was funny in my opinion! the english speech part i was ON THE FLOOR. same with all the parts with makino's uniqueness~ aiii she is so jokes especially with the kids... they did a great job bringing that part of the manga to life!! anyano-san (maybe wrong spelling) was good after all and she is pretty in that outline lol...
overall... im glad with how this end... i teared up a bit at the end too~ soo cutee... when tsukasa was yelling at makinos in the airport.. then tsukushi started pushing him awwww so couple-like

Ah, just finished episode 9!! It finished downloading in under 3 hours, and let me tell you, it was a most excrutiating three hours. I was torn between excitement (new episode! more HYD!) and dread (it's over!)
MY THOUGHTS ON THE LAST EPISODE

Whilst waiting, I could not but read the spoilers. Even though I knew what was going to occur, I extremely enjoyed it. At times I was teary or about to burst at the seams with anxiety, and at times it was hard to suppress my glee when certain things happened.
When the sponsor credits were announced near the regular 45-minute end of the episode, I almost had a heart attack. I had forgotten that there was a 15 minute special. I don't know why the last 15 minutes was called a special, since I think that if they had omitted those scenes, the ending would have been very unsatisfactory and it would leave so many things unresolved.
The saturn necklace!! Oh my~ And she baked him the look-alike cookie, which was so touching. I had almost forgotten about the cookies she baked, and I am so glad that they included that in this adaptation. I am really disappointed though by the small amount of time (albeit quality time) Tsukushi and Tsukasa spent together in this episode. In my opinion, the sunset in the background almost completely ruined the kiss scene. It was really overpowering when the focus should be on the couple sharing their first mutual kiss. I really wanted to see the expressions on their faces during that moment, but the sun was literally blinding me. And she finally hugged him back. I was cheering when she did.
I can't believe that Akira and Sakurako are together (to a non-Japanese speaking person like me, that's what it appeared to be but I could be completely wrong)! I cannot wait for the subs so that I could understand the situation with Okami-san. And poor Yuuki. Even though Sojiro's reaction to seeing her (running away) was amusing, my heart still goes out to Yuuki for her unrequited love. Shizuka coming back added some sweetness to the bittersweet dorama conclusion. Overall, I really liked the episode and I thought that the dorama was resolved nicely with an open ending.
Please be a second season I don't think there is even an emoticon to express how I feel. If the ratings are high enough, is there a chance that a second season (or however many seasons it will take to get to the manga ending) will be produced? I definitely would not mind waiting for a second season!
Oh, does Tsukasa's pink coat in the plane scene count as a fashion disaster? I rather like his black coat even though it looks like something out of an RPG or an anime. It actually suits him.
Anyone else already suffering from post-HYD depression? I will definitely post more of my thoughts on this episode when the subs come out.

Oh, kewl ^__^ Heh, I spend a lot of time around manga fans on IRC and on forums, and I was exposed to the phrase "live action" before "dorama." I think I prefer dorama more.
I have always been to function very little when I am away from my computer. In class I daydream quite often about the things that I could not wait to do until I got home and turned on my computer. The whole nine weeks of HYD goodness, I have been majorly slacking off in school (my grades only dropped a few points, but my laziness factor just shot up through the roof). But I assure you, it's well worth it. How could one have regrets with Matsujun, Oguri Shun, and HYD around?

and i believe there will be season 2 for this...coz there is this 'see you soon!' sign at the end...or atleast they will make 'HYD special' -heeehehhe...i'm just speculating here-

Nice "ending," one of the best romantic scenes EVAR, but yeah, it's begging for a 2nd season, or at least another episode to tie up loose ends. It's nowhere near finished in terms of the manga storyline! COME ON! WE NEED MORE HYD!!

BTW, if you didn't get it (cuz there isn't a sub, yet), Makino does say she loves him. She uses the word, "horeteru." The setup starts at around 55:00 It goes like this:
D: Now, from now on, and forever, you're the only girl for me (lit. I only have eyes for you). I'll be with you.
(she starts crying)
(looking pompous and smug) D: You're happy, aren't you?!
M: No way in hell!
D: Liar! You're in love with me!
M: Yes, I'm in love with you, how you're such an idiot, how you're so selfish, how you do whatever you want to do...
(embrace...KISS)
This was a really touching scene, and I liked how they were both in character up until the end. Doumyoji is still a pompous ass up until the end and Makino is still calling him names. Though, like many here, I'd like to see them get closer, this is as far as they can go (for now), and considering both are so stubborn, they've come a long way. Anything more would be unrealisitc. Give the kids their due. They deserve it!
