Wow, Connecticut? Do you guys receive Jdorama transmissions over there (sorry to sound naive... I haven't been to the East coast)?

We used to receive a lot like "Hagure Keiji" "KABACHITARE" "Love Revolution" Abarenbo Shogun" "Sayonara Ozu Sensei" <------very good shows.....but my local cable company cancelled it. Sad lol I think I'm the only drama fan in all of CT. I hope when I go to College next year I find people who like dramas ^^;;;;;;;;; hopefully. From Sarawak, Malaysia currently in hot and dry Melbourne, Australia. (its summer now) Most ppl in HK/Taiwan watch Jdoramas with chinese subs so they don't need to download online. If only I took my chinese lessons seriously, I'd be watching more dramas. Sad

In LA County, Calfornia. How in the world do all you from countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Phillipines, etc. have such good english skills? That's just not fair lol Do they have English classes there? And if so, you all must have paid some crazy amount of attention and put forth some nutty amount of dedication to be so fluent and comfortable with it... Applaud

Catch you later,

yup thats what i said! its amazing isn't it? i could never learn tagalo or malay or signaporean or anything like that... i have a hard time trying to learn japanese! anyway its great that they can speak such perfect english ... so we can talk to them about j-dramas! Thumbsup

anyway i think the reason why we're so amazed is because the majority of americans only know 1 language.... (our education system sucks..lets face it)

yes in the philippines they teach english there at school.. from my experience i learned it back in elementary (when i used to live there)

english is one of the best things required there, and everyone knows how to speak or at least understand cuz its part of our nature to make a living.. (eg. travel/boarding school) ..i guess its true when its easier to learn while youre young.. now when ure aged everythings all hard and complicated Sweat

english is the second language in the philippines.

native filipinos such as cebuanos who has a different dialect can't speak tagalog fluently you can hear their accent, but if u hear them speak in english at 1st u'll think that they are foreigners unless you saw theire face.

in fact foreigners who studied tagalog are more fluent than most of us filipinos based on my experiences. You'll be hearing me saying "What the hell that word means, Is that really exist?"
