Hey Mix..... I think the prices are the same between all the stores. The only exception is going to be the going out of business sale at this location... They started with 10% off everything except the kianji/romajo/english computers. and then they moved up..... when I called this am fri starts there next step for phase 2 of their sale... CD's and Manga to name a few things are going on 30% off!!!! WAHOO!!!!!!

The waves in SD are kinda weak but they actually form so theyre pretty fun to ride, especially with a long board.
As for what to do in SD there isn't too much except chillax with your friends/dorm mates. Also you kinda need a car since most things aren't in walking distance (damn freeways).
Oh yeah, one last thing. You have to go to Super Sergios for their Carne Asada fries, they roxorz joor boxorz. Also you might want to check out the Che Cafe that is on campus, its this awesome volunteer based cafe that looks like a rundown shack, they have some damn good bands play there and some pretty good vegan meals.

SInce the poster said that he is from connecticut, I doubt if there are any waves to get used to there. i know 'cause I'm from the east and wish the waves are half as constant as SD. _________________

Absolutely. You've got until August to get your directions straight.

Well I just got accepted to University of San Diego California........still haven't decided if im gonna go there since im from Connecticut and it's a huge move. But what do teenagers do there? Just in case so I know what to expect and how to fit in.
As to answer the question, I would grab my surfboards and head to a crowded beach or a friend's private living area where the beach is and surf. Otherwise, when I was a teenager I also shopped and did things that most teengers do.
As to answer your question as a college student from CT going to CA...in SD. Hmm...I get confused which SD college is known as the party school, anyway...if you are a serious student, then you know what you have to do. I have many friends who live in San Diego and it's all good for them. Most of them were college students and were serious about studying but on Saturday nights they do the usual watch movies, go shopping at UTC mall, play video games or whatever.
It all depends on what crowd you hang out with. Studious individual, party individual, gangsta, racer, stoner, musical type, depending on what you like doing.
Interesting I had friends who moved from California to live in CT for Yale. Asking people there the same questions..hehe...

That's a pretty long drive. I wouldn't try to do it in one day.

From the stereotypes I know:
UCSD - for those who couldn't get into UCLA
UCI - the AZN school
UCSB - the party school
UCB - smart hippy kid school, NorCal lovers #1
UCLA - for those SoCal lovers #1
UCSF - science grad school
UC Hastings - law grad school
UCR - Party school II
UCSC - Party school III
UCD - for those NorCal lovers who couldn't get into UCB, NorCal #2
These are just what I heard when I talked to folks when I was studying out in CA. Don't be offended. =)
