I think the weirdest thing about me (according to my friends, that is) is that I love eating McDonald's hash browns with their jam. When I go breakfast with them they would be all so grossed out, and the person at the counter always give me this weird look when I ordered hash brown and asked for a packet of jam. But I'm brought up eating Mc's hash browns this way.

there's a saying here in Phil that your not a real filipino if you havent try to eat balut (boiled fertilize duck egg) ever in your life... well in my case they think that i'm weird not bcoz i love to buy balut but i only eat the small yellw part of the balut... they think that i'm weird coz here you buy balut for you to eat the duck but in my case i think that's too gross for me too eat those

what's weird thing i can do with my body?

hey girl, i looooove balot, but i dont eat the duck part either, i only drink the juice inside and the yellow part too

shrimp..scallop,prawn,crab etc r definitely out of my list..

nm.. i read it wrong when u said "u cant take shrimp dead or alive" i thought u meant by eating

i really dont get why u guys are grossed out about the balot.. like loriemay says, she eats the small yellow part.. and thats what i eat too.. not the goowey black (duck) part... anyway i havent eaten balot for over a decade now

I'm Filipino and I don't think I can eat balut. Seeing family suck those babies down... just gives me a stomach ache thinking about it. I also can't eat "dinoguan" (sp?) ie. chocolate meat aka meat cooked in pig's blood. I used too when I was young but one day my grandfather asked me if I wanted to know how they make it. Being a young boy, I said sure... Then I saw the poor pig get killed and hung and slit and blood just dripping into a bucket and that pretty much ended my pork eating days (well, I can eat bacon and ham and occasional pork chops) and I don't get the craving for lechon/when I see that roast pig on the table with an apple in it's mouth and it's mean face looking at me.

I don't know if this is weird or common but my brother and his girlfriend (Chinese) and their friends ate at a restaurant and ordered this crystal crab (clear crab) and the hosts paid about several hundred for it. Also, they ordered some big oyster thing (If I recall it was called something...duck) which cost several hundred more. I can't believe how much people would pay for certain delicacies.

eating the balut is one of the challenge in fear factor so that means that it's really yucky food for others, i heard that chinese people introduce eating balut here in the Philippines long time ago...
