I still don't understand why it's politically incorrect to say "Merry Christmas".
EXACTLY!
I agree. Which is why I'm gonna rename the thread BACK to it's original name.
The content of this thread was originated by its original name: "Merry Christmas!'. The thread's name did not get changed up until now. Not until 3 years since its origin.
If it's a matter of religion, then members of other religions, feel free to make up another thread regarding your expressions for this time of year, if this thread may not feel appropriate for you. No one will criticize.
Especially since we have threads here specifically designated for people of different countries.
ie: Phillipine member thread; Singapore member thread; Malay member thread.
There is no reason why we should change the name of this thread just to conform to those who don't believe in Christmas, or who think that the mere title is politically incorrect.
For those who do think it's politically incorrect, please feel free to make your own thread to express your celebrations of the holidays. (providing that there aren't numerous threads of the same topic already existing)
If we can have threads designated for different members from different countries, I don't see why we have to have only one thread for all of us to express our thoughts, opinions and joy for the holiday season.
As for New Years, I believe we had another thread that discussed the New Years celebration.
---I personally don't see why both holidays so close should be discussed in one thread topic.
Christmas and New Years are holidays only a week apart and have two totally seperate meanings and values. The two holidays should not be classified in the same category and celebrated together just because they're a week apart.

I guess all religion never teach to contend against the people who believe another religion and asuume them as enemy . I guess that those confliction is made by historical behaviour of human beings. In some cases, we may need emergent isolation, but this is because of our stupidity.
( I dont know the disscussion here. )
