Seriously, I hate making plans far in advance - I'm not the type to stay in one thing for too long anyways...my university plans are currently like that too...I'm only interested in a major for a short while...for ex. got into law school last year; turned it down and decided to try to get into med school - was in science last year, not anymore...now I'm just bored....I'm awful....my parents keep nagging at me all the time about it....blah....hopefully my interview goes well anyways...
Everybody else seems so much more ambitious than me... *sniff* |

Cool. Biomechanical Engineering is an emerging technology, IMO.

Wow!
By trade, I'm a software systems engineer... However, my Master's degree is in Electrical Engineering, which I never really pursued after I graduated (software paid better at the time).
In Hawaii, the ticket to job security is landing federal government jobs, especially in the areas of Mechanical, Biochemical, and Civil Engineering. Great benefits when get up to a GS-13 or higher level.

Software still pays better, I think...

I think it's true for any governmant job, local or federal. My friend is a CE for Public Works and the benefits are terrific. Not to mention job security. The downside is that the job is sorta boring and not anyhwhere near cutting edge...

Ya damn right on that!!!! Bill Gates built an entire BASIC language interpreter within 2-kilobytes of RAM. And then he discovered that RAM was cheap, hence Microsoft Windows. LOL!!!!!
