The piano competition is my favorite part in the drama. Thumbsup

Just curious, is it common to use the French word 'concours' for a music competition in Japan? I've only heard the word 'competition' used (as in 'Tchaikovsky piano competition' and others).
Is it because:
- competition is too hard to pronouce in Japanese
- the piano concours in the drama is sponsered by a French organization

I've no idea.

Though, my pic would be the former, not the latter. Smile

I loved this scene - Nodame throwing daggers with her eyes.

P.S. I visited a Japanese bookstore in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago looking for stuff on Juri-sama, and came across NHK's 'Kyou wa Ryori' (Today's Cuisine) magazine. People were giving me a wide berth as I was chuckling madly with the magazine in my hands. Nut

I was recently introduced (was recommended) to this drama.
So far I have watched episodes 1 and 2 and I must say I'm quite impressed. While at first it started a bit slow and stereotypical, the story evolves quite nicely and doesn't get boring. I love the mix of comedy, action, music, and slight romance.

Note: other than the 1970's Japanese-wannabe gay guy, the story is perfect so far rofl.

There are English subs for this drama, although of course not the DVD-set from Fuji TV.

Uh, I didn't buy it... Just pointing out its release date and price.

Juri-chan will have to hand deliver it to my door for me to pay the $210. Sweat

And then some. Naughty
