I was going to tell about this site http://recaptcha.net/ when I found out the site is down. Is it because of the hackers or something like that? The website I attached here has some tools to fight hackers. Can you let the person who runs D-ADDICTS about this? Who knows it might work for the site.

The problem with D-Addicts right now is that the server hosting most of D-Addicts' sites (including the DNS server) is down. Because it has been down for the past 24 hours or so, the DNS entries all over the world TTL'd. I'm not sure what the latest IP addresses are for the various servers within the D-Addicts family. According to NetCraft, the IPs are:

217.172.47.83 d-addicts.com
217.172.47.83 www.d-addicts.com
72.232.242.190 wiki.d-addicts.com

Because the wiki is on a different server/provider, it currently works. If you add these entries to your HOSTS file, you can at least hit the wiki (Google for instructions on how to edit the HOSTS file.)

But even with these entries, the main web site and tracker (not sure what the IP is for d-addicts.net) is still down.

As usual, once the DNS server is re-established, please remove these entries from your HOSTS file, so that your PC continues to resolve names using the DNS.

Thanks a lot groink, I noticed yesterday that the site went down 3 hours before the wiki did.

I followed these instructions and example and it worked like a charm.
