Just finished Konshu, Tsumas go Uwaki Shimasu.
Of the 200 or so Jdoramas I've watched, this is one of those rare one that I cannot fault, and will not hesitate to recommend to another. The plot was fine, and the pace was quick enough to keep the flow, but not too slow as to drag on. The cast was magnificent - even the supporting cast, guests, and cameos. Moreover it is entirely fruit-boy free.
However I just can't get into it. If I have to give a reason it's probably because I don't sympathize, or empathize, with the 'hero', DoDo Hajime (Yusuke Santamaria). Just not my cup of tea.

Never was a hero named DoDo...no wonder why you didn't like it
She was great in that drama, but I liked her a bit more in Churasan. For a completely different type of character, you should check out Iguana no Musume.
And I hope you put Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta Koto up high on your list too. I think you'll like that one.
Hai! I'll do just that!

Ai no Uta is one of my favorites!!...Miho was hilarious in this one.
She supposed to be playing the first(?) Japanese woman astronaut in a movie(?)/drama(?) and I don't think that's a comedy... See her thread for details.

Just saw another Magnificent Kanno Miho drama - "Kaikyou o Wataru Violin" - another must see for Kanno fans. An absolutely startling difference in her portrayal of the female lead.
Ralph, I could'nt agree more...This was superior by both leads...many have criticised Kusanagi Tsuyoshi for wooden performances...but he really opened up on this and gave what I think is his best performace ever
Having said that...was there ever a question that Kanno Miho would not deliver an amazing work...I think not...she certainly did in this... _________________

I heard that Sakura also suffered the same fate in your neighborhood.
Are they still showing asadoras in Southern Cal? I read somewhere they stopped airing them after Wakaba. Same thing in NYC after Sakura. They're showing Kaze no Haruka here in the Bay Area, but I have a feeling it might be the last. _________________

Maybe I should watch Coach too. It's been waiting for me to watch it since a few months ago. _________________

You are correct. As a protest, I watched Churasan all the way thru again.
I'm down to the last 8 episodes for the second time this year. And I'm trying to parallel Wyn chan to see where she's at. So I'm around epi 50 for the 3rd time this year. As time goes by I find that Churasan is truly ageless.... no matter how often I watch it, I choke up for the same scenes and laugh with true enjoyment at the funny moments. I'm now realizing just how great an actress Kuninaka Ryoko is seeing her varied interpretations in Kekkon, Brother Beat, Blackjack and of course Churasan.... she is never the same.

I just finished epi 54, so I'm on 55 now!
The last few episodes were really fun!

I always knew Eri's calling was going to be nursing. They foreshadowed it when the manager had cut himself and she had patched him up with the first-aid kit. She had told him then how much she enjoyed doing it. That scene, and knowing that Fumiya was becoming a doctor and that he and Eri still had to meet, made me think that perhaps she would later become a nurse...
