Today I spent four hours putting up the Christmas Tree and garlands. I still have quite a few more decorations to put up, but I'm really getting into the Christmas spirit! It's my favourite time of year. Big Grin

Pretty much. Beaten rofl

Actually, it took a lot of time digging up the boxes of Christmas decorations from the basement. Having just moved into the house means we're still very unorganized. Doh!

        Ohayo,
There's better to be had of course, but bang for buck, the muffins from Costco are respectable. Muffin and a cup of coffee to start this Monday morning of Turkey week, how are you folks?

Er, we go and get a (formerly) live tree: i.e. chop one down and take it home.

Do anything special to make it last?

When I used to get a tree, I used some kinda mix that the store had... I tried to keep the tree going until Super Bowl Sunday. Beaten Crazy

Nope, just keep the water up to it. Usually stays green until after Christmas, at least. When is Superbowl Sunday? Head Scratch

I can't stand Fall and the beginning of winter for only one reason.I have to rake the damn leaves every other day.Our house is surrounded by trees that shed leaves 24/7 Aaargh!

I just raked them yesterday and when I woke up this morning it's like I didn't do anything. Angry Where's the snow when you need it?

              I have my lucid moments.

My neighbor had a tree that he despised, but (supposedly) couldn't cut it down because it was city property... So he kept ramming it over time with his mower until it exposed the innards, which eventually killed it. Beaten

I told him he shoulda just chopped it down around 2AM in the morning. hehe

A popular trick here is drilling holes in them and pouring poison in the holes. It happens all the time when a tree gets in the way of someone's view Beaten
