A 75 foot tree?! That's GRAND!! I wish I was there to help. |
I think I posted a pic of it in the CHristmas thread last year.
Missing the first meeting of the Start Up Bowling league we are joining. My BF has to go without me.
Not well enough to go out in public still. But getting close...

Today I spent four hours putting up the Christmas Tree and garlands. I still have quite a few more decorations to put up, but I'm really getting into the Christmas spirit! It's my favourite time of year. |
Sounds like you're decorating the pine forest...

Didn't going out bowling get you in this mess to begin with?

Pretty much.
Actually, it took a lot of time digging up the boxes of Christmas decorations from the basement. Having just moved into the house means we're still very unorganized.

A real tree or is it a Festivus Pole?

Er, we go and get a (formerly) live tree: i.e. chop one down and take it home.

Do anything special to make it last?
When I used to get a tree, I used some kinda mix that the store had... I tried to keep the tree going until Super Bowl Sunday.

Nope, just keep the water up to it. Usually stays green until after Christmas, at least. When is Superbowl Sunday?

I just raked them yesterday and when I woke up this morning it's like I didn't do anything. Where's the snow when you need it? |
Someone should get you an axe or chainsaw for Christmas.

I have my lucid moments.
My neighbor had a tree that he despised, but (supposedly) couldn't cut it down because it was city property... So he kept ramming it over time with his mower until it exposed the innards, which eventually killed it.
I told him he shoulda just chopped it down around 2AM in the morning.

LOL, I think my neighbor did that as well... He used WD-40 of all things.
