i always thought there are something behind every single character... such as maybe Sosuke was abused by his mom or stepmom when he was a kid, that's why he himself became abusive towards woman.
And that, something might have happened during the childhood of Ruka and Takeru, that caused them to have some problems now...
hmm.... I just got a feeling that the scriptwriter would not be so shallow and just create a character who is abusive for no reason...
anyway, talking about fangirls, they are just simply crazy... worshipping the actor and the charcter the actor is protraying are 2 different things... I think they really got all mixed up... poor thing... _________________

Currently downloading the 720p version of Episode 3, so I'll be playing catch-up once again with most of you who've already downloaded the 396p version
Anyhow, maybe it's just me, but I get the feeling they really need to pick up with the story. Two episodes on introduction of characters and their inner conflicts is nice, but it's time to really expand on those. The end of the second episode gives hope that things will quickly pick up with Ruka, Michiru and Sousuke, so I'll be looking forward to that
Curious about the Eri character as well, as we still don't know much about her. We can guess that Sousuke must've had something happen in his childhood that makes him abusive. Ruka and Takeru probably had something happen in their childhoods as well. Michiru at this point really has nothing interesting, other than she keeps going back to the abusive Sousuke, which at this point I think it's a lame way to rile up viewers. There had better be something that justifies her going back. Eri's problem seems to be making and keeping friends, at least from what I've seen with the other flight attendants ignoring her, and allowing Ogura to hang out at her place. I feel she's trying to be friendly perhaps to compensate something that happened earlier. Maybe she was just a loner who never responded when others reached out. At this point, it's just guessing.
^ if you're upset about Ryo's character now, just wait 'til you see that one
Just finished watching Episode 3.

The domestic violence plot is getting old already... I know that in real life it's not as easy as flicking off a switch, but seeing Michiru constantly going back to Sosuke is frustrating to watch... They seem to be a match made in hell: he appears to be into sadomasochism and she's apparently a masochist...
I was and wasn't surprised to see her at the door of Eri's home.
I'm more interested in the stories/relationships of the people in Eri's home... I hope they start fleshing out those stories in the upcoming episodes.
I'm getting closer and closer to fast forwarding the parts with Sosuke and Michiru... It's getting too stereotypical and tiresome.

I can't understand some forum members' frustrations of wanting answers now. Why do you want to know answers this early into the story? Seriously, people need to chill and watch the story unfold after each episode. The director is doing a splendid job at maintaining the suspense thus affecting viewership/ratings. I personally would lose interest in this dorama if I knew a lot of the answers now. I guess we truly live in times of instant gratification.

Interesting take... And it appears to be spot on.
I'm sure most people who've had the head start read my take, and say, bloody hell, we knew that already! Really, most of you have seen the Episode 3, I'm just halfway done downloading.
I believe it was phlargo who mentioned along the lines of having drama simply for drama's sake and I feel that is where Michiru's and Sousuke's relationship is at.
I've read the spoilers, and I too would be ready to hit fast forward when it comes to Michiru and Sousuke.

Answers? I didn't want answers now. I wanted answers before this drama even aired!
Seriously though, I can't speak for everyone else, but I feel that the relationships between the characters have been established a bit, the conflicts have been hinted on and now it is time to dig deeper. Watching Sousuke beat up Michiru for two episodes in a row without as much of a hint to why Sousuke is abusive isn't maintaining suspense really. It might be suspense to some, I call it dragging it out. I don't need to know Sousuke's reasons for being who he is in one fell swoop. No, that obviously wouldn't help matters, but it gets to a point where I think it's time to dig a little deeper.

Honto yo. And they just have to end each episode on a very emotional scene and then downplay it in the begining of the next episode. It is just too irratating. I'm still waiting for a direct confrontation. Well, in episode four they hinted that there _may_ be a confrontation between Ruka and Sousuke, but they just might end up playing a stare game.

I agree. Everyone's met everyone else... We're done with the appetizers... Time for the first course.

I agree here, too: it's almost bordering on being exploitative and voyeuristic.

Yup, lotsa glaring and staring... What I'm fearing about this entire story/drama is that we're gonna get strung along until the last episode or two with nothing very substantial between now and then...
Call me pessimistic, but I've seen it happen in other dramas.

I'm dying that they'll prove me wrong.
Let's hope they don't have to rename this drama Lost Ratings or Last Show...

Awhile ago a forum member ranted about the 'negative feelings' of the general (forum) public towards fandom. Actually I, for one, don't mind fans as long as their fanaticism is built on talent, be it acting, singing, or anything other form of performance. It's those 'he's sooooo cute...' comments that make me dub those fans BDFG (Brain Dead Fan Girls). The above post has an excellent sample of BDFG behavior.
To current and potential fans - try to see past the good (?) looks before latching yourself onto an artiste and claim to be his/her fan. You may actually be doing your idol a disservice if you act like you have no brain cells.

I watched the first episodes raw.
A bit of ranting, although I have to say I overall think itfs good and the actors are doing a convincing job!

I feel that all the main characters are a bit too much out of a textbook. The stereotype lesbian, the classic wimpy girly, your typical sensitive traumatized boy, the loud gal whofs laughs to hide her loneliness and the maniac neat looking psycho. True, they do exist in real life but thrown altogether in one drama may turn this in too one big cliche. TBC
The abusive relationship between Michiru and Sosuke is brutal and painful to watch – it should be that way - but itfs overdone and happens too fast and too often. Maybe slower realistic development, which would allow character/situation nuances, would have been a better way to portray domestic violence.

In episode three you'll get the answer, even though it's mentioned only briefly. With subs it's probably clear to everyone.

Heh, kinda unoriginal reason for beating Michiru up; his dad used to abuse his mom but then again you'd need a lot of imagination for making up some other reason
