I didn't read the above text. My wife did. It appears as if it's actually a good deal for us "outsiders". 10 tickets for each for performance, via email, will be sold to "outsiders". If you don't get an outsider ticket via email... go stand in line the old way. The bulk of the tickets are still sold to people willing to get up at 3am and stand in line for that day's show.
sure sounds good. I am just confused on what i initially read earlier today on the S48 forum, on one of the threads....i guess well find out.
credit goes to makistar at S48 forum, for the latest news in regards to the new ticketing system, all done by random email now, sadly. my confusion has ended and it is confirmed.
here is a copy of the info:
Yeah, you'll just have to see. The info I got came right from AKB48's official website. But maybe the blog is more up to date. Both agree on the 10 "distant" fans. Try that method for sure.
Hey, friend of qilver's/AKB48 fan here. Yoroshiku. ^^
The blog info is correct. The ticket info page doesn't appear to be updated yet. I imagine it will be updates on March 1st, when the new system is put into effect.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the long run, though. Reactions to this new system have been VERY, VERY negative.
Yeah, a system of ALL tickets by email doesn't sound too cool. It'll promote scalping. Those guys in and around Akihabara will probably get a bunch of email addresses to increase their chances of winning. If they get selected for more than they need, they'll be able to sell them on the street.
Much better for the guys willing to stand in line to get the tickets. You know they'll be there for the show.
On the other hand, the 10 tickets for distant guys sounds good. But I'm afraid even that will be scammed.
Probably the best way for us foreigners that can only see them once or twice a year on vacation is to buy tens of thousands of Yen worth of merchandise from the Gift Shop and then beg them to sell you a ticket for tomorrow. Hmmm... this may not even work if tomorrow's tickets have already been allocated via the lottery 3 days ago.
Maybe just cry a lot after buying 50,000 Yen worth of merchandise and begging for a ticket 5 days away will work.
AFAIK, the email system is on a per name basis, not per email, and ID has to be shown when you collect your e-mail based ticket, so hopefully the scalping will not get TOO out of hand. I imagine it will be happening, though. I hadn't thought about that before. Hmmmm... this is just bad.
Surely they will listen to the fans. I don't think AKB will last too long if the fans who buy 20-30 CD's walk away.

Hey Data!
i do fully agree with you....the hardcore fans, once they leave, AKB48 will lost a lot. I think thiis email system is truly bogus and hurts all the fans.
I got some stuff yesterday as you know. And the next ep of Acchan's drama was seeded by gryzze yesterday as well. But too tired tonight to post a bunch of stuff.

that is some nice stuff you bought there....
i am going to take my chances on ordering anything and wait until i go in a little over 2 weeks and buy my AKB48 merchandise at the shop. There is a lot of things i want to buy there.
ok, i bidded on a few more items, and i think i better stop and close it out for now. I got to get ready for Japan.
I won two buyouts bids on these posters.
Nacchi poster for 800 Yen
Today there was a handshaking event in the Don Q bldg. I had to wait in line for a few hours, but it was worth it. Basically there is four new photobooks, and you receive a ticket if you buy all four, at 2,500 each. Each pb came with 5 new blt photos of the girls of any of the teams. I was lucky enough to get a signed one in the batch of photos i did receive. The highlight was meeting Team B girl, Kazumi@t, also known as "Cindy" or "Miho". She was really nice and spoke a few words in english to me.
