I missed this post. Vote Beem!

Must have been watching Nodame. Mr Green

OT: Just finished up the 18 eps of Aim FOr the Ace that I had. Sorry there arent moe available. Sad
THe whole very stylized, often abstract, artwork combined with a 70's feel really was appealing.
Much better than the live action with Aya. Wink

Well, it does stagnate a bit around ep 70 but it paces up again the last 10 episodes and ends up nicely.
Maison and Kimagure are often compared but see I Maison as the more mature of the two and somehow timeless, while Kimagure is stuck in the 80s.

Oh, now that I remember, I still have Versailles no Bara... Mr Green

Haven't seen Versailles. Legend of galactic heroes is another one of those classics i liked. I wonder if they'll reintroduce that again. Would be nice to watch it in better animation

Almost a year will have passed since I did start being really into animes. I figured out I had that way last year October, just when I was fond of staring at each scene from K-On with all of my thoughts like who made wonderful actions, who did character voices, and who made these scenes. That gave me a LOT of tips as well to have fun watching more pieces. I clearly know K-On is now coming to an end, sadly plus they don't say it will be back again. I heard them yesterday on TV say next time I see K-On members it will be a real ending, I mean bye-bye for a piece that made my 2nd life as an otaku. Now I can enjoy all genres from the late 60's through 2010's. Puppy Dog Eyes

Watching Touch at the moment.
I saw the live action movie recently and it was so bad I now need to wash it away with the real thing.

The anime is really good. Felt long in the middle but the last 10-20 episodes are great. Thumbsup

Youve been watching some really great classics this summer. Youch was terrific and I adored KOR. And the datedness (can I use this word?) of it. MAison I didnt finish but I enjoyed what I did watch about 60+ eps. Rumiko Takahashi is a huge favorite of mine. Her URusei Yatsura was the first really long series to get me hooked back in the early 90's. Now Im dating myself... Sweat Beaten

Did you finish ever Rose Of Versaille? I just finished up with Glass Mask again. Wonderful group who did this group of series. Victory! Peace!

haha. i know what you mean. rarely can a live-action show really capture the original anime. i felt nodame cantabile did a good job, though. but that's a rarity...

Yup.

A great production staff, director, writer, and cast... Definitely a rarity.
