I hope the cast is up to the level of the script rofl

Just kidding. I posted before how I was disappointed with Mitani's last movie (Magic Hour), not because it was bad (it was actually decent), but because I just have such high expectations for his work. Let's hope he regains his form with this upcoming movie.
I thought it was interesting how Shinohara and Sato are reprising their characters (from different movies no less). Many of the actors mentioned have appeared in one or more of Mitani's previous films whether as cameos or principal/supporting characters. I wonder who's going to be playing the ghost?

I liked Magic Hour, but Rajio no Jikan rocked. Saw it thanks to you. Applaud But Uchoten Hotel was great though too.

Namase Katsuhisa stars in movie gSouph

November 17, 2011

Veteran actor Namase Katsuhisa has landed the starring role in a new movie called gSouph by director Otsuka Yukichi. Although Namase co-starred with Koike Teppei for the gSalaryman NEOh movie that is currently in theaters, he has never been the single star of a movie before.

Namase plays Shibutani, an employee at a design firm whose career seems to never advance. He has a daughter, whom he has been raising by himself ever since his wife got tired of him and left. One day, Shibutani and one of his superiors named Ayase (Konishi Manami) both die in an accident. On the other side, there is a soup that they can drink in order to be reborn, but it would cause them to lose all their memories of their previous life. Each must make the difficult decision of whether or not to take the soup.

gSouph is scheduled for release next fall.

Good point.

This I will concede. The avistaz file is a dvd rip as well encoded H264 so it ain't too shabby. Truthfully I've yet to watch the flick though. Just spot checked it.
