I finally borrowed the dvd form my friend and watched it straight away when i got home
Just as expected, this movie is also entertaining. I'm not very fond of jazz, but listening to their music somehow got me carried away although there are some scenes that bothered me a bit.
eto....i was wondering whether Juri was chosen to play Nodame because of her role here _________________
What I downloaded from eMule looks like only half of the concert: the video started with Mizuta Fumiko () speaking, then starting to play her bass guitar.

yesterday, I got the DVD of "Swing girls" from rental video shop.
This is light comedey for ordinary Japanese, and I guess for foregine people , it is very good text of rural Japan.
But for me, I know the place of this high school , dialect and also the model high school. They belong to my youth age...
Then this movie is not light comedey for me.
We just got this wacky notice about Swing Girls , a new film about a bunch of Japanese girls transformed into a swing band:
Take a ragtag group of 17 high school girls (and one boy), and throw them reluctantly into summer school in a sleepy Northern Japanese town. Next, throw a bunch of big band jazz instruments into the mix, put it all into the capable hands of acclaimed director Shinobu Yaguchi (Also known for Waterboys), and youfve got Swing Girls. After the oddball story of a high school synchronized swimming team, Yaguchi brings this hilarious new tale of teamwork and triumph head to head with a rocking swing jazz soundtrack!
On Tuesday October 5 there will be a video shoot with the girls from 12pm - 2pm at the Central Park Bandshell. That evening there will be a free screening and live performance at 10pm at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, 2 Ave. of the Americas. rsvp to: [email protected]. Go to http://www.newyork-tokyo.com/SG/swinggirls.htm for the straight dope...
